Inexpensive at $9.99 a 12-pack. Poured a dark brown with a soild off-white head and good lacing. Nose of roasted malts, and some chocolate. Mouthfeel good and rich. Flavor of chocolate and roasted malts. Good clean finish. Ver good for the price.

12oz bottle. Poured a real nice dark ruby color, short lasting off white head. Dark roasted aroma, slight hint of coffee as well. Smooth drinker, again alot of roastiness in there. Pretty good.

Nice but forgettable. Pours a dark brown color but does have some red highlights and a small sticky head. The nose is nice, some raosted aromas and some sweet malts as well. Has a bit of a sweetness that is almost cloying on the annoying side, but that fades away with some hoppiness and finishes quite roasted and dry.

Dark red/caramel color. Fair, bubbly head that fades rapidly. Aroma of wheat bread dough and dark corn syrup is not unpleasant, kind of expected. Taste is bland, brown sugar and toast. The body does not back up the aroma; this stuff is quite wet and thin. I've had worse, I guess. At least it is cheap. I got a six pack for $3.50 (2001), it gets style points for that and the cool shaped bottle.

12oz bottle 3/4/09 (Tukwila Trading Co.)-Pours a dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel, and coffee. Taste of the same. This medium to full bodied brew is nice tasting but a bit light. Very drinkable.

Had a nice dark color, but didn’t follow through on taste. Sort of a weak maltiness and a thin taste. On the plus side, it goes down smooth with a decent hop presence in the finish.

12oz bottle Pours out a nice clear brown topped with a light tan cream head. Aroma of malt. tast more malt a little nuts. My first Henry Weinhards brew. I picked up six different ones only 5 to go.

Screwtop bottle. Pours clear dark amber with reddish highlights and a lacy light tan head. Some brown sugar and roasty character in the aroma, not much in the way of hops. Body tending to light, texture gets a little watery. Light carbonation. Sweet, nutty flavor, with a touch of molasses. The finish is little grainy, and betrays the fact that hops have been used. Nothing terribly wrong with this beer, but nothing to get excited about either. This one would probably go pretty well with a variety of meals, because the taste is just so darn polite.

Bottle from Fred Meyer in Portland, OR--Poured a brown-amber body with a dissipating white head. Thin, watery pour. Decent carbonation. Mildly roasty, nutty, maltiness with a minimal hop bite. Sessionable, boring, but highly drinkable.

Bottle. Faint aroma with a tiny bit of skunk. It could have been this was around too long. Very mild taste, less than I’d expect from a dark lager. Not very bitter with almost no finish but a slight chocolate note. Very highly carbonated. It made me burp unpleasantly for a while after.
