A dark lager with the color of a stout, yet none of the bitterness. Brewed from a rich blend of six malts and Cascade, Cluster and Mt. Hood hops, for a uniquely smooth taste.

Screwtop bottle. Pours clear dark amber with reddish highlights and a lacy light tan head. Some brown sugar and roasty character in the aroma, not much in the way of hops. Body tending to light, texture gets a little watery. Light carbonation. Sweet, nutty flavor, with a touch of molasses. The finish is little grainy, and betrays the fact that hops have been used. Nothing terribly wrong with this beer, but nothing to get excited about either. This one would probably go pretty well with a variety of meals, because the taste is just so darn polite.

12 oz bottle into mug. Aroma is toasted bread. Pours a reddish dark brown with a medium head with pretty good retention and creamy lace. Taste is very porter-like. It’s sweet with a touch of tang and no bitterness. Mouthfeel is creamy. Carbonation is medium. All trace of foam and lace disappear towards the end of the glass, lowering my appearance score. Overall, not too impressive, but it is tasty. If one were to session a dark beer, this would be a perfect candidate.

Bottle from Fred Meyer in Portland, OR--Poured a brown-amber body with a dissipating white head. Thin, watery pour. Decent carbonation. Mildly roasty, nutty, maltiness with a minimal hop bite. Sessionable, boring, but highly drinkable.

I can't believe i have more of these to drink after this one.Dark red in color, uneventful head that tried and failed to stay around.Malty caramel aroma with maybe a faint appearance of hops, and kind of sweet as well. The taste is malty, caramely with just a faint hint of hops again.very thin brew with little to offer.I guess There is a time and place for every brew and this has a place some where but it just isn't now.Sorry guys try again.

Dark mahogany with a thin, white head. No lacing. Bitter and malty aroma. Some caramel to it. The flavor is slightly sweet, sugary almost. Warm malts that are slightly bread-like. Palate is a touch watery, though. Finish is easy and smooth.
