A light-bodied, full-flavored unfiltered beer brewed in the tradition of European wheat beers. Wheat malt, the finest barley and Roasted Caramel malts are combined with Pacific Northwest Cascade hops and a touch of pure honey for a wheat beer with a smooth, crisp finish.

Thick head that doesn’t go away. Cloudy gold. It doesn’t smell like a hef, more like a Bud. The taste isn’t much better. It tastes sour with a little grainy finish. Pretty bad...

Every Weinhard beer tastes almost the same to me. Not enough differentiation between similar styles.

Ewww! Bottle from Fred Meyer in Portland, OR--Poured a dull hazy golden-amber body with a dying white head. Sticky artificial honey nose with dumb wheatiness and drab grains. No phenolic attitude of a Bavarian hefe and less hop bite than say Widmer or Pyramid. A waste of wheat, basically.

Thanks to riversideAK for the chance to taste this beer, you rock Alex! Cloudy orangy yellow. Gunk on bottom of 12 oz bottle provides a hypnotizing swirling pour. Aroma is just plain beery and lacks any of the bubblegum or banana smells so common with manyhefes. Creamy thin head that lasts. A little bitter initially on the mouth roof but that fades during thesession. Again, in taste, the flavor also lacks banana and bubblegum and is more laid back. Does have some gentle hefe flavors and is rather well behaved. Mild to medium bitterness does continueand I’m not sure if its due to some hops or malt. Finish leaves a mild medicine taste on the back of the throat. Tho not much in hefe character, it has enough personality to let you know this is more than a ubiquitous pale yellow beer.

Bottle. Pours a hazy sunshine gold with a medium white head and plenty of carbonation. The aroma is of citrus. The flavor hits you with citrus/orange up front. There is a subdued hops presence, and sweetness also. A decent brew to have with your buds on a hot summer day.

An unclear dark golden beer with a dense yellowish head. The aroma is sweet with notes of citrus and wheat. The flavor is sweet with notes of brewmash and wheat.

Boring, grainy cereal maltiness with a hint of citrus and light spices. Very sublte throughout, with moderate carbonation and a bit of honey sweetness and citrus acidity. Very boring.

UPDATED: JUN 2, 2008 Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a medium fizzy white head. The aroma is lemon, pepper, and some other citrus notes. The taste is full of wheat, spices, a ton of fresh citrus, and some honey. Seems like a hefe to me, and a pretty good one.
