2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 bvc (1102) - Kenmore, Washington, USA - MAR 25, 2009
16oz draft. Pours a lightly cloudy golden yellow with a creamy looking white head. Nose is very faint in the aroma department, but I pick up wheat, grass, banana and clove. Carbonation is decent, but body is pretty thin and doesn’t have much wheatiness to it. Notes of banana and clove are also present on the palate. Drinkable in a pinch but nothing noteworthy.
2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hopeye (39) - Oregon, USA - MAY 12, 2009
It’s cheap, light, refreshing, and good for a summer BBQ. Not worthy of a lemon, though. Henry’s is always a great alternative to standard domestic beers. Brewed by Full Sail? I had no idea. Critics--what did you expect out of a $5 six pack of Hefeweizen?
2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20 beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 22, 2007
Pours a hazy golden orange with a soft white head. Not much wheat in the nose, lightly grainy malt, faint hops. Flavor has a mild honey malt flavor, then fading to a bitter and watery finish. Kinda cheap beer taste in the finish, very thin tasting. Not as bad as most other Weinhards brews, but can’t hold up to the other american wheats in this area.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 jpfrog (130) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - APR 17, 2002
This is one of Weinhards’ best beers. It is not great for a hefeweizen, but it isn’t terrible. Good for stocking the fridge if you are low on cash.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 5, 2003
Hazy gold. Fruit and wheat in the aroma. The same is found in the flavor. Simple wheat beer.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 20, 2003
Not a bad hefe at all. Not overyly sweet and not overly citrusy (is that a word?) Both of which I think this brew could have used more of. I will still by Widmer though.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 5000 (4974) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - MAR 15, 2004
Bottle pours hazy golden with a medium sized foamy head. Minor lacing, minor carbonation. A very malty/yeasty aroma thats akin to mass produced beers, particularly budweiser. Taste isn't much better, light wheat/malt texture. Its as if someone crossed a semi-decent Hefe with a bud. No, this isnt working for me. Very thin, very little flavor on the finish. Sure would go back easy tho...
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 vw86ggti (14) - Puyallup, Washington, USA - OCT 18, 2003
Pours a thin fluffy head, extremely carbonated. Aroma is light. It seems like it is trying to hard to "look" like a Hefeweizen because it is really really cloudy. Flavor is light with a hint of lemon. Overall, pretty bland but easy to drink. Good for camping trips or a BBQ.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 shendrix (478) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - APR 4, 2008
An inoffensive though almost criminally boring beer. The flavor is something like watery table syrup with a slight carbonated zing. Goes passably well with salty food, but nothing to seek out.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 BrotherBeer (13) - Colfax, Washington, USA - MAR 17, 2002
Since this is suppose to be a micro brew I have to rate it like one. White+Black=Gray. This is a gray beer and to me is a beer that tries to please everyone. If you put honey in a hefe, it should complement the wheat, not try to be equal with it. It seems they’ve tried to balance the flavors too much. This beer is it’s own stalemate.
