Commercial description Revered by beer lovers the world over for its bold flavor, India Pale Ale was born of necessity in the 1700s. Its high alcohol content and copiously-hopped brewing process were required to survive the journey to British soldiers in India. We brew our India Pale Ale in Hood River, Oregon with flavorful Pacific Northwest hops and the finest two-row barley malt. The result is a refreshing brew with an aromatic, full-hop flavor anchored by caramel malt sweetness—perfect for sharing with friends on a Pacific Northwest summer’s day. The brewer markets this same or near-same product by more than one names. This can be the result of a brewer distributing this beer under different names in different countries, or the brewer simply changing the name, but not the recipe at different points in time.
