COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Revered by beer lovers the world over for its bold flavor, India Pale Ale was born of necessity in the 1700s. Its high alcohol content and copiously-hopped brewing process were required to survive the journey to British soldiers in India. We brew our India Pale Ale in Hood River, Oregon with flavorful Pacific Northwest hops and the finest two-row barley malt. The result is a refreshing brew with an aromatic, full-hop flavor anchored by caramel malt sweetness—perfect for sharing with friends on a Pacific Northwest summer’s day.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2008 New one from Henry’s Typical orange colour of an IPA with a nice enough looking slightly off-white head. Aroma is certainlly hoppy but really doesnt grab your attention, there is in fact a little unpleasantness underneath, but i had tio strain to catch it..so OK. Flavour is quite OK the hopping isnt too agressive and there is a nice enough complmentary semi-sweet maltiness, in deed the hops coat the tongue near the end, not bad. I liked the palate on this beer, not really watery but easy to drink, nice lingering hoppy after taste. Not bad at all at this price range ( under $10 a 12 pack). I am rather enjoying it. A good lighter IPA for the hotter months ( its is a Spring/Summer release). Overall excellent value for money.

Pretty decent beer Poured a medium copper with decent head and lacin No exceptional aroma of the respected citrus But the mouthfeel and carbonation along with some nice hops made up for it Definitely Better than the Blue Boar or Privat Reserve Definitely will get again

Bottle. Pours a nice clear gold with white head. Aroma is floral, leafy, hints of fruit esters with a balanced maltiness. Flavor is very much the same with a nice balanced bitterness, hints of caramel, crisp. Mouthfeel is light body with high carbonation. Overall, nice, simple, enjoyable IPA.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus, earthy hop and caramel malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate complex bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. This beer met my expectations.

Honestly, I don’t smell much of anything. Odd. Has a nice, clear color between gold and copper, and a tiny white head. Mostly bitter taste, with just a hint of sweetness. The sweetness gets a bit stronger during the finish.

12 oz. bottle, Oct 24 11 EDT- Pours orange autumn with a one finger creamy head and lots of carbonation bubbles rising to the surface, lace is also good, it creates a thin blanket on the glass. The aroma is Northwest piney hops and a little citrus, and maybe some pepper. The taste is where this beer kind of falls apart, there isn’t much taste, there is a mild bitterness, but overall really bland. Body is thin, carbonation is high. Overall this beer started out nice, better than expected, but the taste and palate was the downfall of this beer, if only they could make it taste like it smells.

12 oz bottle into tulip. Bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours a clear deep gold with a medium off-white lacy head with great retention. Aroma is cat piss, metal, sticky buns, grain. Taste is bittersweet and sour. Has a grainy aftertaste. Highly carbonated with a medium body. Very simplistic, but very drinkable. Really good for a Henry’s.

It was OK. Okay taste, a bit too much of whatever that flavor is that I don’t like that I still don’t know what is. LOL I wasn’t much into drinking it at the time and left half of it in the fridge for a few days. It wasn’t that great a few days later.
