2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
The more than light malty aroma one expects from an amber. Light copper color. Frothy off-white head. It tries to lace. Medium bodied. Lots of carbonation, though not enough to bite. Hard to taste anything until the carbonation leaves. Then it is a mild malty sweetness. Not a great deal of hop at any point. The amber that remembers to be an amber rather than a pale ale or IPA or even an ESB. For the price this is excellent value.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark golden to amber color with a foamy white head. Somewhat earthy malt aromas and dry herbal hops are evident only slightly in the background. Mild floor malt and caramel start. Middle has a light fruit and dry floral bitterness. A English and PNW twist to this one.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle: A lighter amber color with a large, frothy white head. Nose is mostly malt and muted hops. Taste is spicey and earthy, some grain. there is a hint of banana bread?! Lingering lager type finish and lowly carbonated.

Taster - Hop Scotch Spring Beer Festival – Seattle WA
Amber in color this had a nice head. This was a deep malt brew with very little hops. Nice flavors but not my style it was more of a Bitter than a Amber. This is a good try at this market. But not the best brew I have had. Better than other Henries. Too bad they do not even brew there own beer anymore. Bring back Henries

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice packageing, and at $6.99 a six, way more exspensive than regular "Henry’s".
Plain copper coloured ale with a good sized frothy, thick light tan head.
Pleasant very malty aroma, slightly spicy .
Flavour is mainlly malty in a light caramel sort of way, with a pleasing light hop bitterness in the end, slightly grainy. Simple.
Mouthfeel is OK, its lowly carbonated and goes down smooth, some nice after taste.
Over all a very simple beer and nothing really to rave over. Probably not worth the extra $1.50 for a Henry weinhard product.
NOTES: as it went on it began to take on some English bitter characteristics,

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured an attractive amber hue with a thin but sturdy cap of foam. The nose is of caramel malts with mild cascade hops bringing up the rear. The taste starts with caramel and dry breads with floral hops kicking in at the end. The finish was dry and crisp, with a medium to full feel. It’s drinkable but rather boaring. Price and availablity are it’s strongest points
