COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber Ales are mostly an American invention. And with its beautiful copper color and subtle hop aroma, our Redwood Flats Amber is our traditional take on a modern American classic. Featuring a unique blend of American hops and malts, Redwood Flats Amber is bold and assertive, with a strongly hoppy flavor that’s easy to drink and even easier to love.

Clear amber color with almost no aroma. Medium head. Average body. Strength is fine balance of malt sweetness and hop bitterness in flavor.

12 oz bottle from a case that my wife bought. She knows to never buy this product again. That’s about all I can say without being too harsh on this one.

12 oz. Clear shiny copper with a lasting quarter inch of foam. Nose is a bit off-putting with caramel tainted by wet, dirty leaf and stale old grain. Taste is slightly better with caramel and dirty tea leaf, and less stale grain. Light-medium body is fairly smooth with carbonation and balanced so as to be easy drinking, but why would you want to?

Pours a crystal clear light copper with a 2 finger, fluffy beige ehad the has somewhat poor retention. Aroma is toast, toffee, caramel, light wood and cereal notes, maybe a hint of earthy hops. Flavor is very toasty and a little nutty up front, then pretty buttery, some cereal, husky grain and earthy, planty and lightly medicinal hops. Palate is light bodied, a little slick on entry has a moderate strength, slightly sharp carbonation and dry, but still slick finish. Pretty underwhelming, but not terrible as far as Amber Ales go.

Bottle. Poured a clear copper color with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting and had good lacing. Good malt and earthy hop aroma. Medium body with smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate well balanced smooth flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good brew.

12 ounce bottle from a Kroger. Pours a crystal clear amber color with a large frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of caramel malts, floral hops and a salty note, almost like potato chips. The taste is caramel malts, nutty notes and a bitter herbal, citrus hop finish. Medium bodied, lingering bitterness. Decent.

An okay amber, malty with some back of the tongue hops. If someone brings a weinhards multi-pack to a party this is the one I’d go for.
