Originally developed for British sailors stationed in India, IPAs were aggressively hopped to help prevent spoilage on long ocean voyages. Now that spoilage isnít as big a problem, weíve eased up on the hoppiness just a hair to let the caramel malts shine through. Itís a big beer with big flavor that really lets you appreciate hops in all their glory.

A clear amber brew with a thin white head. The nose is sweet apples and leather. There is also some musk and flowers. The taste is like light grapefruit and peanuts. There is also plenty of wood and caramel. Bits of spice in the finish. A light and boring IPA.

Dark honey in color. Slight sweet floral aroma. Clean tasting sweet toasty malt flavor with a nice faint citrus rind flavor. Overall, its a tasty brew but probably should be a pale ale as a result of the muted hops presence.

Pour is a golden with a average whtie head. Aroma is mild hops and not much else. Flavor is about the same. A very minor hop with no real malts making an appearace. Poor effort, this is unlike a IPA in just about every way.

Bottle - unable to pour out of bottle, nice piney hop aroma and flavor, with a mildly sweet fair malt balance - pretty basic IPA

Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with a frothy white head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hops and pine. Thin mouthfeel with sweet hop and honey with light bitter finish.

Pint glass, nice finger and half of foamy head. Transparent copper colored body. Almost smells like lemon and pine, so faint though. A little bitter taste upfront, quickly dies off though. Nothing else. Crisp texture, moderation carbonation and medium body. Well, itís brewed under contract in Hood River, Oregon but thereís no fooling itís a product of SABMiller, though one of the better tasting ones.

Pours clear gold with a medium white head. Aroma has a lemony note...touch of grass...hint of caramel. Flavor has some earthy/grassy notes, a bit of caramel. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and earthy/bitter. Not good.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Craig! Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A light sweet nose of floral and citrus hops, big biscuit. The flavor is a big earthy malt, some perfume, light citrus, low bitterness. Tea-like. OK.

Aroma is fairly malty, light piney hop aroma... Flavor is sweet and malty with a dry medicinal piney hop... Clear golden with a small white head ok lacing... Dry finish medium body... Boring..
