2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 arkurzynski (1190) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Amber pour with creamy white head. Nose of skunked out pine (faint) with caramel candy and cereal grains. Flavor is stewed vegetal hops and caramel malt. Overly creamy mouthfeel. Bleh.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 jcnielsen (840) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange color with minimal head. Light hop aroma, some mild malt aroma. Light grassy, earthy flavors. This is an IPA? Really? I had been interested in trying Henry Weinhard’s since I heard it was brewed out of Full Sail’s brewery. This beer was really lame, like a bad Leinenkugels.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 keepersj12 (2248) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Way below average. This looks good but there is barely any aroma. I get some caramel and little else. The flavor has the caramel and just a hint of hops. Thin in the mouth. Not too good.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 TheBeerGod (4632) - Newport News, Virginia, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Bottle courtesy of my friend Noel - thanks! Aroma is sweet with light caramel and toasted malt. Taste is soft hops, sweet malt, grains and grass. Body is light-medium with a moderate carbonation. Ends with more caramel, toasted malt and light grassy notes.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 j_rogers007 (9) - Kokomo, Indiana, USA - FEB 9, 2013 does not count
very weak aoma, high carbonation, clearly using an extract, about what I expected which wasn’t much. I guess it could be a good intro IPA for those that are used to drinking a domestic light beer.
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Elwood (2493) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a deep gold color with a thin white head. It’s got the same cooked veg nose as the amber with some stale hops thrown in. The flavor is cooked veg with slight honey notes and a shitty bitterness on the back end. This beer is garbage.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20 Chipalsa (1090) - Florida, USA - FEB 3, 2013
Twas’ okay. Some hops, dank grassy notes, the finish was ehhh. Fuggin ol’ semi-sweet finish. Pass. Raven’s somehow won. F$ck the Ravens.
2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20 Holy (817) - GERMANY - FEB 2, 2013
Bottle shared in the middle of Florida, somewhere... Was pretty good - as much as I remember...
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 bigtaster (396) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Pours a golden hay color, with finger and a half of head that leaves behind nice lacing. Not much on the nose, but a bit of pine hop. Light body with clean on the palate until the end, which has a sweet finish that is not enjoyable. Very clean beer, but pretty flavorless compared to the norm of the style.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 emacgee (3445) - Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA - JAN 26, 2013
Pours a sharp clean gold with one finger of off white head. Nose is herbal and musty with grassy notes and sweet malt. Moderate bitterness and body. Metallic hops.
