COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally developed for British sailors stationed in India, IPAs were aggressively hopped to help prevent spoilage on long ocean voyages. Now that spoilage isn’t as big a problem, we’ve eased up on the hoppiness just a hair to let the caramel malts shine through. It’s a big beer with big flavor that really lets you appreciate hops in all their glory.

Amber in color with a decent off-white head. The grassy hop aroma mixed with a hint of vegetable matter and vinegar create an aroma of sauerkraut. The taste is a little better with caramel, masking tape, and woody hops.

Pours a clear golden yellow from the bottle with thin pay ring that sticks nicely. Aroma of pale malt and slight piney hop. Taste is more modality than hoppy, but not horrible. Decent when it warms so good fit drinking by a pool in the summer and it’s readily available.

Pours amber orange with a small white disappearing top. Aroma is earthy hop with biscuity malts. Taste is biscuit malts, some small earthy hop bitterness with a small caramel finish.

Drought. Light amber color with small foamy whitish head, light hops aroma, sweet hoppy taste, mellow finish. Very smooth but a bit weak.

IPA glass. Odors of wet hay but sadly almost no hops are detected. A decent looking beer, brownish gold color, thick white head and plenty of lacing. Probably the worst tasting IPA I’ve ever had. A very poorly done IPA

This is the worst IPA I’ve ever bought. I’m glad I got DFH 60 Minute as a chaser. I have 5 more bottles of this. Wish me luck.

Part of a random night out on the town. Pretty bad for an IPA - I don’t think it’s worthy of the name

Gedronken uit fles, dus geen goede rating voor uiterlijk. Aroma is bloemig, brood, licht metalig. Smaak vooral bitter. Beetje waterig, weinig body.

Bottle: Translucent copper pour with a finger of creamy beige head. Aroma is oddly like rye bread, dandelions, malts, and lightly metallic. The flavor is borderline bad to offensive. Metallic, dirty florals and herbs, and a sour maltiness. Really dry and lingering finish. Maybe I got a bad bottle, maybe not. Either way this was bad.

Honey-golden color, light taste, bland. Light bubbles for head. Sweet, bread aroma. Mild ale, not very hoppy at all.

Really light fruity aroma. Mild citrus hop flavor, with some light sweet/bready malt and "macro" vegetal flavor/aftertaste. Moderate bitterness.
