Cask (handpump) at Egham United Services Club Beer Festival on 19 August 2010. Not the darkest porter. Dark reddish colour. Fruity and a little woody with a slight lactic edge on the finish. Certainly not a heavy stout-like roasty porter, and none the worse for that. Tends towards an old ale. A pretty decent drop. Encouraging to see a brewery that grows its own barley (but I guess has it malted elsewhere?).

Cask (Egham Beer Festival - Summer 2010) - Dark brown with some red tinges. Coffee, plain chocolate and roasted malt in the aroma. Roasted and slightly sweet taste with malt and coffee detected.
