Cask at the White Horse 40 from 40 Festival, 3rd May 2010. Clear brown colour. Slightly sour taste that I don’t think is intentional. Malty base taste and average weight. Not good.

Cask at the Prince Arthur (JDW), Fleet. Deep tawny brown with a scummy looking beige head; aroma of sweet roasted malts; rather thin with chocolate malt flavour; and a lightly bitter finish. An OK mild.

Cask @ The Harp. Pours a dark copper, with a thin off white head. Roasted malt was dominant, but wasn’t very thick. Some toffee and caramel in the background.

Cask (handpump) @ The Grove, Huddersfield, England.
Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, berry notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090716]
