"Iron Horse is a strong pale ale hand crafted at the beer station from a complex grist of roasted malts and English hops. This gives a full flavour with a traditional Sussex hoppy nose to the beer."

Bottle at cousin Ian’s West Sussex home. Pours amber, somewhat hazy, with thin head. Medium bodied. A little sweet and somewhat fruity. Does not stick in the memory.

500ml bottle. Amber-orange color. Steady soapy off-white head. Clean English Ale aroma, light hops. Mellow and creamy, soft carbonation. Very balanced, with a biscuity malt body and a steady, but never overly intense, hop flavor. I get some deep caramel malt notes, not unlike a nut brown, in the finish. A nice session beer, well done.

Poured from a 25 ounce bottle into an imperial. Pours a honey color with a moderate head that leaves decent lace. Moderate cloud. Aroma is of tannins and mineral rich water. Tea like aroma with a bit of bready malt backing. Flavor is bright malt with a slight caramel flavor. Mineral content of the water gives the typical English ale iced tea flavor. Mild hop bitterness is slightly floral and somewhat fruity with a touch of honey and pineapple. Mouthfeel is medium with a nicely structured carbonation. Good session bitter for the price. Sweet malt aroma. Nice light floral hop aroma. Poured a hazy amber color with medium, but long lasting head. Gentle hop bitterness mixes nicely with the malt flavor. After the initial malty sweetness goes away, a very strong hop flavor comes through. The sharp hop flavor lingers a long time. Medium body with with a lot of hops that masks the low carbonation. Good beer. More hop bitterness than I expected.

Bottle from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy medium amber with a foamy white head. Aroma is very floral. Medium body with sharp but foamy carbonation. Flavor is light stone fruit, light citrus, mild roast malt, and a lot of florality. Smooth. Sensuous. Could drink this forever.

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2011 Cask conditioned handpump Thomas Kemp Brighton. A golden coloured beer with a thick whitish head. A decent hoppy beer with a nice biscuity and sweet malt base. Nice depth and there are late citrus hops which are really good. Score 3.6

bottle on 1/5/10. pours cinnamon-y iced tea colored and clear with a barely off white head. the aroma is a touch catty at first... it opens up to show caramel, fruit (peaches maybe), florals, grain, herbaceous-ness and earthy spice. the flavor is the same as the aroma but with a spiced dry finish and a touch of malty sweetness. the medium body feels like it is missing something in the middle but it is certainly easy to put away. 6/3/6/3/13/3.1
