3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a very hazy, and very dark amber with a small off-white head. Some sticky lacing.
Smell is earthy English malts, fruit, slightly citrusy.
Taste is typical biscuity English malts, toffee. Hops are a pleasant, tea-like bitterness, not citrusy at all.
Light to medium body, carbonation is mild. Nice finish, not too dry. Bitterness not strong, but lasts. Good ale.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy dark amber liquid with a moderate, somewhat fizzy old paper colored head. Light aromas with floor malt, caramel, and hints of dried flowers. Dry old malt flavors with some aged hops in the background. Hints of grapefruit zest. Some light fruit flavors echo about. A traditional pale ale, that said quite boring, but no real faults. I find the body to be quite weak and a bit too fizzy for my liking. 6/10
