Cask at the William Webb Ellis (JDW), Twickenham - 09/03/13. Clear pale golden with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is pale malt, citrus, light floral notes, lemon sherbet, lavendar, touch diacetyl. Taste comprises pale malt, grain, cereals, light citrus, suggestion of hops. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, smooth on the palate, some bitterness in the finish. Pretty average fayre.

Chelmsford Beer Festival.Hazy gold beer, little suddy white head. Mild sulphur on the nose. Light dry palate, slightly soft. Nice citrus - orange with a touch of lemon. Mild floral notes. Dry finish. Ruined by the sulphur note which is omnipresent.

Cask hand pump - Earth & Stars (Brighton) - awful. Might be a bad keg; apple cider finish that unfortunately taste like skunk. I might wrong though in which case - brown blond, clear, retained curtain head, lack of hop and malt character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPad

Golden and clear. Little head. Medium bodied. Floral aroma with a honied sweetness. A bit of skunk at the end. Tried with the parents in the cafeteria of Kew Gardens at Wakehurst in 2012.

50cl bottle picked in Eastbourne. Finally tracked this down after month’s of looking. It’s bottle conditioned, so it’s a slightly hazy straw colour with a loose cream head; grainy citrus aroma - much like a German pilsner; it’s soft, sweet, and grainy in the mouth; before a pleasant citrusy bitterness to finish.

BC from the Wine Cellar, Lutterworth. Good continental aroma; chick pea, lemon and honey, pine sap. Pours dusty gold with a hissing head of froth. Soapy and fresh with spruce, honey and wafers. Lingering soap and rich tea biscuit finish. Good stuff.

Cask at the King’s Head, Lewes, 16th July 2010. Clear golden amber, small lacy white head. Lemon and musty malt nose and flavour but a bit soapy and lacking bite or lasting dryness. Oxidised.

Cask conditioned handpump Earth & Stars Brighton. A darkish blonde coloured beer with a white head. There are citrussy hoppy notes in the aroma leading to a chewy fruity taste. The hops are decent and fruity but it seemed to be shallowing.

Bottle conditioned organic pale ale. Well carbonated and poured a golden amber colour with a large white head. In the mouth hops were dominant with a strong citrus flavour and malt in the background. A very palatable golden type ale.

Bottle. Amber with white head - bottle was quite lively. Tangy citrus with smooth malt flavour.
