2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Muggus69 (854) - Newcastle, NSW, AUSTRALIA - OCT 4, 2011
Pint bottle
Golden orange body, clarity reasonable, small head drops away quickly.
Aroma of light caramel malts and spicy orange British hops.
Lean body, drops away on the palate a bit quick. Moderate carbonation.
Pleasant enough combination of biscuity malt and earthy/floral hop. Moderate bitterness, finishes a bit short.
Nothing wrong with it, could be highly sessionable, but a tad unremarkable.

Pale golden-amber pour with some light herbal and spicy hoppiness. There is a little bit of light pale malt as well as a touch of fruit. A little bit of soft peppery character on the finish. A nice light pale ale.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 blankboy (4285) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 24, 2011
Bottle [500ml]. Purchased and drank while walking around Dover Castle, something I could never do back at home. Appearance: No idea as it was right out of the bottle. Aroma was hoppy along with caramel malt and some grain. Somewhat hoppy flavour, tastes like Goldings, with caramel malt in the back and a decent bitter finish. Pretty good, I don’t come across Pale Ales here very often so it’s a nice find.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 hawthorne00 (1306) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - AUG 16, 2011
Bottle. Hazy gold with a coat of white head. Modest aroma of pears, flowers, a little caramel. Rather watery, but less so than might be expected. A little fruity sweetness, dusty and floral hops, decent bitterness. Not very engaging but refreshing.

Bottled, 500ml from Bellingers Garage, Grove, Oxon. Hazed gold with white head. Light, fruity lager like body, a little flabby with a touch of sweetness. Nothing to really get hold of. Pretty average.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 mkel07 (1553) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - MAY 23, 2011
500ml bottle. Big soapy head of large white foam bubbles.. Hazy amber colour with mild and modesta roma of malt and not much else. Like the aroma the flavour non descript and there is a moderate level of bitterness. It rolls around in the mouth okay but is a bit light on.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 ComradeK (466) - Blue Mountains, AUSTRALIA - MAY 3, 2011
500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy mid-gold, with a minimal white head, which fades rapidly, leaving no lace. The aroma is a bit muted, but there is some detectable caramel malt and a whiff of floral hops. Grassy and flowery hops to start, moving into a very watery middle, with a touch of sweeter malt to finish. It’s all just a bit bland, though - nothing really grabs me. A distinctly middle of the road bitter.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 OleR (3510) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 21, 2011
0.5L bottle from Ex Cellar, Fulham. Medium-sized lacing white top. Clear, pilsner-golden body. Sweet-scented with grains abd cereals. Som dusty hops, too. Flavor is on the sweet side. Taste of grain and sweet bread. Moderate bitterness, barley enough to balance the sweetness. Light body. Oily texture. A certain fruitiness in the finish.
