Linus_Stick (1556), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 16, 2008 A decent O/M for a brewpub beer. Barely any aroma with just a sliver of roasted malt. Pour was a decent medium brown with a one finger off white head. Taste was light and simple. Caramel malt and a hint of toffee with not much of an aftertaste. Nice carbonation and easy to drink. Not on par with the big O/Ms but nice attempt from a good brewpub. cheapdark (1605), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 10, 2008 On tap at the H&H in Cranberry. Apearance is brownish orange, can’t see much red as in the description. No head, just a tea froth top. Has a fruity beer aroma similar to most of the H&H brews. Decent carbonation. On the palate it is rather light at first then it begins to have a bitter build thru the session. More malt and not too much hop. Finish has a medium low bitter malt aftertaste that hangs for a while. Certainly does not possess the attributes of most octoberfests including H&H’s mainstay, a nice variation on the style.
