Skyview (2850), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Jul 20, 2008 On draught at the Wausau Hereford & Hops location in Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden amber brew with creamy white head that quickly dissipates to a white ring and spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some Mexican corn meal, dark pitted fruits, some alcohol and flowery hops. Taste is full bodied, light carbonated with flavors of sweet golden grain malt, some taco shell character with some high alcohol light spice and some sugar syrup. Finish is semi-sweet at first and then a mild bitterness that slowly disappears after the finish. An interesting Maibock with a touch of Mexican spice and some extra alcohol. heemer77 (3667), Savannah, Missouri, USA May 6, 2008 On tap at the brewpub. The body was hazy gold with an offwhite head. The aroma was sweet caramel with some honey. There was also a nice fruity peach character. The taste was sweet honey with some woody notes. There was also some pears and a little cinnamon spice. cheapdark (1558), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 24, 2007 Ubiquitous pale yellow american lager color and appearance. Very little head. Has a bit of perfumy aroma to it. It has a small alky impact but for the most part, you would never know you were drinking a a 6% brew. Low carbonation as with most H&H brews. Not quite as good as Victory St. Boisterous Hellerbock, but at least on par with Penn PENNdemonium , Hofbräu München Maibock and Rogue Dead Guy Ale.
