Silphium (2001), Lansing, Michigan, USA Aug 11, 2007 On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in Escanaba. Slightly hazy amber-orange body, thin-medium tight buff head. Toasty nose with light sweetness and earthy hops. Hoppy body, spicy and floral, backed by bready, toasty malt with light sweetness. Hops somewhat citrusy and rindy, but no intense grapefruit notes. A bit drier and hoppier than the Irish Ale. Not bad.
