Skyview (2693), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA May 10, 2008 On draught at the brewpub in Wausau, WIsconsin. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head the dissipates clean with no ring or lacing. Aroma of buttered popcorn, a touch of coconut, some faint grassy hops and some light herbal spice. Taste is smooth, light bodied with flavors of buttered popcorn, some golden grain malt and grass hops. Finish has a light butter aftertaste that slowly disappears to a crisp finish.
BDR (1855), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 9, 2008 A light grainy taste with a dry, faintyly coconut flavor. Light tan color. Slightly sweet aroma. Buttery finish. cheapdark (1542), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 24, 2007 Updated: Aug 19, 2007Second time I tried this. On tap at the Cranberry H&H. Clear yellow, looks like the ubiquitous pale yellow american lager, filtered and refined. More candy like and sweet than harvest wheat. Slight to medium hop bitterness. Earthy candy attack. Below average carbonation. I think I like their harvest wheat a little more than this even tho it is supposedly a wit bier. This is not a witbier by euro standards. The small amount of hop bitterness in the finish must be to appeal to the hop lovers, but I don’t care for them. This is more like an APA.
