Enjoyed by the pint at the Escanaba location avoiding a storm moving across the lake. The description on the board was simply Dunkelweizen: Dark German Wheat. Poured a brown cola color with an off white head that laced down the glass. Cocoa powder and banana in the nose. Light chocolates, brown sugar, and charred malts constitute most of the initial flavor profile. The charred malts combine with a nice dose of hops for a long bitter roast and hop finish. The carbonation is a little spritzy and not very creamy for a wheat beer but thirst quenching and tasty.
