Very light colour with lace and a bit of head. Fresh crisp and dry. Light mouthfeel. Hoppy golden and tasty malt profile. Popular, as I think this is whatís offered as a macro brew repalcement.. Lager like but with hops. A

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the Wausau brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a transparent bright golden with a clingy-lacing white head. Aroma of faintly sweet malt and some fairly fresh floral hops. Body is lightly grainy and pale malty sweet with some earthy bittering hoppy balance toward a crisp finish. A pretty decent blonde ale.

Picked up a single 22 oz bottle at Trigís in Wausau, WI. (Ironic I did not even stop at the brewpub in town) Pours a semi-cloudy golden yellow brew with an average size white head. Aroma is very light, with hints of grass, hay, some citrus and cardboard. Flavor is better with corn malt, a hint of citrus and mild flowery hops. Carbonation is light with a medium/light body. Finish is a little flat. I put this into the lawn mower beer catagory.

Sampled at the brewpub. Clear golden a white ring. I taste grain, mild pale malts, and soft hops. The feel is thin and the flavor is, too. The hops help carry this one. A bit of yeast is evident. Not bad but not my favorite here.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Sampled on draft at the Cranberry Twp PA location this beer poured a pale golden color with a small white head. The aroma is faint sweet light malts. The flavor is light sour and tangy malts with a dry finish. Rather blah.

Thanks to Skyview again. Light hay and corn aroma. A little corn and sugar sweetness. Gold color. A very simple session beer that has little to offer, but is not offensive.

Draft (sample), Wausua WI location, July 03. Bland American golden ale with a slight uriney quality -- very pale, almost greenish. Why bother with this kind of stuff at even a mediocre brewpub, let alone a decent one like this (good whitefish!).

Muchas gracias to Skyview for hunting this stuff down and carting back to the clan. Golden color with no head. Aroma of sweet cardboard. Uh oh. The flavor screams corn. Slightly moldy corn at that. Not so kosher.

AHHHHH, such a nice place, this brewpub. H&H white tail ale. On tap at the Cranberry Twp brewpub near Pittsburgh PA. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a white head. Very nice sweet aroma, almost like flowery coconuts. Flavor is a mild bitterness and carbonation is good to medium low. Says it has low levels of hop bitterness. But I donít sense any at all. Finish does have some personality like a mild ale. The only other golden Iíve had is Kocks Golden anniversary. This is certainly as good, probably much better than than.
