500 ml can.
Clear light yellow colour. Aroma of sweetish light apple with some weird citrus-like notes. Flavour of mild sour apples, acidity and artificial sweetness. Easy to drink.

Can from Tesco. Yellow cider with an aroma of apple juice. Taste is dry and slightly sour apple sauce and apple juice. Lots of carbonation. Just about drinkable.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
I needed some cider to braise sausages and this was the cheapest ( £1.49 for 2ltrs) and the fact I hadnít tried it meant that this was the choice. Looks ok I suppose, odd nose with some apples in there somewhere. It is dry in a tannic sort of way, but the label says it has sugars and sweeteners added, and the artificial sweetness is noticable. Iíve had worse but I donít think Iíll be buying again.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Clear pale yellow cider. Aroma of crab apples and yeast twang. Lean bodied, starts slightly sweet, finishes slightly dry, very drying and chemically, like Diet Coke...that would be the artificial sweeteners at work.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
500ml can. Pours fairly dark for a cider, but still a relatively light clear gold. The aroma is metallic and alcoholic, with nothing good going on. The flavour is totally uninspiring. It is mostly just tart, artificial apple. The finish is bizarely salty, and utterly unappealing. Just to illustrate how poor this is, it has added phenylalanine, for Godís sake! Awful stuff.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: APR 23, 2009 Can 50 cl, drank it directly from the can while travelling by train. Aroma of sour apples. The taste is really mild, just like drinking cheap supermarket-brand apple-juice, I like my cider to be a bit more thrilling. But this isnít a bad one.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can - yellow/gold. No head. Low to medium carbonation. Smooth. Sweet apple, slight sourness, touch of rotten apple and a strange, slightly burnt taste. Not too bad but maybe would have been better without sweetners,

2.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sparkling pale gold apple juice tasting slosh, fizzy, vaguely cacky smelling, no nasty aftertaste, Iíve had much worse. Not bad for the money and fairly drinkable cold.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
2l bottle, now called "Crumpton Oaks Farmhouse Dry Cider" (but the same product).
Pale yellow golden colour, no head. Light-bodied cider, fizzy but ok mouth feel.
Aroma is rather faint, mostly of lemon, with a wee hint at apples.
Fairly standard cider with taste of sour apples, light sweetness (not sickly sweet AT ALL - those below who wrote that should go see a doctor - theyíre probably suffering from diabetes), citrus note. Nothing special, but an ok refreshment (well, itís 2 liters ŗ 5 % - that makes 10 UK alcoholic units per bottle).
