Off a tap at the Hop Yard. Pours very dark brown with a minimal head. Coffee hazelnut aroma. Taste is chocolate, nuts and roasted malts. Active mouthfeel and some porter milky sourness. Excellent off the pour but a bit less distinctive and flavorful with warming. Still, an excellent beer.

Bottle: Dark dark brown, topped with a creamy brown head. Nose is inviting with chocolate, roast, and nuts. Consistent through the taste. The level of quality chocolate taste is impressive... not too sweet with the nuts and roast involved. Solid flavors. Good stuff.

Scent was nutty but sugary. Light top medium body. Chocolate flavor is a little syrupy. Deep coloring. Low carbonation. Would taste best after some warming.

Poured from the bomber into an English pint glass. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet with lots of chocolate, some hazelnut and vanilla. Flavor has a lot of chocolate and hazelnut as well as some smoky notes. Medium bodied with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Overall pretty good.

Bottle shared at the AQ Bevolution event at Yellow Ape Craft. Pitch black with ruby highlights and a beige creamy head. The nose is oats, roasty, soft chocolate, very roasty creamy lactic beer. Quite full bodied milky creamy lactic , a touch of smoke, a bit nutty and a good dose if chocolate this shit is delicious.

Bottle. Dry and nutty. Chocolate in the taste and hazelnuts again. Oaty aroma. Cocoa powder taste. Sweet but subtle, bit of vanilla and cream. Roasty too. Dryness is the thing. Yum

On Tap at the River Room, Whole Foods Boise. Black with just a thin line around the edge of the glass. Lots of tootsie roll and toffee and other burnt chocolate type notes. Chocolate milk and cocoa flavors. A little nutty but in a soft mellowing way. Some bitter twang at the end. Nice

Pours a finger and half of tan head on a black body. The aroma has lots of hazelnut and chocolate right up front. The taste starts with mild chocolate bitterness, then roasted malt sweet and carries through to a tapered sweet ending. The texture is smooth with low carbonation. Excellent balance for a decadent beer.
