3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
650ml bottle from Brewdog shop.
Huge tan head settles quickly, minimal lacing. Nose is nutty chocolate, chocolate syrup, hints of coffee. Flavour is chocolate, coffee, roasted nuts, dark berries, slightly smoky. Bitter chocolate aftertaste lingers. Surprisingly high carbonation, jagged mouthfeel, clean finish, slightly dry. Seems to suffer a little from over carbonation, would love it on cask.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at VCBW Festival 2016, pours black with a small tan head. Nose brings out cocoa notes upfront, with a touch of hazelnut and vanilla. Flavour is quite robust for a porter, with lots of cocoa upfront, followed by toasted hazelnuts and a touch of vanilla. Medium-bodied and wonderfully balanced. Really nice.
