Draft at railroad. Pours black with a medium sized tan head. The aroma is big on the hazelnut with a bit of chocolate and roast. The taste is a nice mix of chocolate, hazelnut, almost like a truffle. Well done

Bomber. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium white head. A big smoky, nutty, huge chocolate nose. The flavor is dark milky chocolate, ash, toast, big nutty flavors, gets that juicy purple flavor of hazelnut. Very good. Put this on ice cream- not me, Ill drink it, but someone can. Awesome. Metallic.

750ml bottle. 4/6/15 bottle date. Appearance: Deep brown/black and opaque, with a creamy brown head. Aroma: Dark chocolate, roast, and a distinct nuttiness. Smells like dessert. Taste: Rich roast and toasty malt sweetness, with underlying chocolate and nuttiness throughout the palate. Mouthfeel: Medium body with slight creaminess, and low to moderate carbonation. Finish: Slight lingering roast and nuttiness. Hint of bitterness. Overall: A rich, toasty and roasted Porter, with a nuttiness that would make it the perfect complement to a German chocolate cake.

Bottle dated 05/04/2015. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a thick dark brown color close to black. An off white one finger head dissipates into a messy sticky stringy lacing. The smell started off with the chocolate, pretty thick and as it warmed, a gentle hazelnut makes its presence to assist in the balance. The taste started sweet through the chocolate and once again as it warmed, light hazelnut broadens the taste. The aftertaste definitely had a long milk chocolate leading into a wet chocolate finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a slight sessionability about it. Its actually more of a sipper to be honest. Carbonation felt right as a porter and the chocolate and hazelnut helped to smooth things out nicely. Overall, Id say this was a pretty nice chocolate hazelnut porter, hits all the right spots. Would probably even be better on a chilly Autumn evening.
