Bottle dated 05/04/2015. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a thick dark brown color close to black. An off white one finger head dissipates into a messy sticky stringy lacing. The smell started off with the chocolate, pretty thick and as it warmed, a gentle hazelnut makes its presence to assist in the balance. The taste started sweet through the chocolate and once again as it warmed, light hazelnut broadens the taste. The aftertaste definitely had a long milk chocolate leading into a wet chocolate finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a slight sessionability about it. Its actually more of a sipper to be honest. Carbonation felt right as a porter and the chocolate and hazelnut helped to smooth things out nicely. Overall, I’d say this was a pretty nice chocolate hazelnut porter, hits all the right spots. Would probably even be better on a chilly Autumn evening.

22 oz bottle- Pours black with a tan head that reduces leaving a blanket. Aroma is chocolate up front, more bitter/sweet, hazelnut follows, they co-mingle nicely, strong malt presence. The taste is very porteresque if that’s a word (pretty sure it actually isn’t), roasted malts, chocolate, the hazelnuts add a nice nutty depth to the beer. Dessert in a glass.

Big tan head that fades quickly. Little lacing. Roasted grains and mineral nose. No chocolate or hazelnut. Taste is pretty much the same with a very tame chocolate note. No sign of hazelnut.

On tap at Toronado. The pour is black, surprisingly black for a porter. There is a light khaki colored head that falls to a ring leaving sporadic lace. The aroma is huge on coffee and hazelnuts! I absolutely love this. Light malt and great roast. The flavor is dominated by coffee. There is a great maltiness and nuttiness. Just great! The mouth feel is light, but well carbonated to help it feel thicker. The aftertaste is lingeringly coffee infused. Great porter ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

have had in bombers and once on tap. aroma and flavor are mainly sweet with some roast and bitterness to balance. The flavoring is done well...can become just a touch cloying, but all in all pretty solid.

22oz bomber pours with a mahogany colored body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up truckloads of nutty hazelnut and then to a lesser extent there’s slivers of chocolate and dark roasted malts. The taste starts with, oh my, nearly brash levels of thick hazelnut nuttiness that only conjures up modest nutty sweetness. Like in the nose there are chocolate and dark roasted malt notes well off in the background. Solid brew and as it warms the roastiness and chocolate make up ground on the hazelnut onslaught.
