COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Evil Cousin is Heretic’s take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who can’t get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.

Keg at Craft. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Smooth soft palate with fine carbonation. A beer of 2 halves if ever there was one. The first half is very grainy - raw malt - off putting. The second half loses the raw malt and has pleasant sweet hops, tangerine and orange and orange marmalade. Finishes semi dry. Hard to mark this one!

Sample at the Craft Beer Co. pours clear golden amber with a good off white head leaving some laces. aroma is intense hoppy piny caramel citric malty sweet raisins, very nice. Flavor was less than excpeted, much like the aroma but too flat and a bit one dimensional. Finishes with a good longlived bitterness and fruutyness.

June 29, 2012 bottle shared by Brandon. Orange pour with some head that faded quickly. Aroma was faint hops and caramel. Taste was malt and mostly a piney bitterness but some citrus in there. Medium bodied, not much carbonation and not much aftertaste.

Draft at Beer Temple. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma of freah malt, caramel and light grassy hops. Flavour is massive pine, grass, fresh malt and caramel, but unfortunately spoiled as it’s strangely sickly. Bitterness is high with medium sweetness. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Disappointing, it’s close to being really good, but something is really not quite right.

Poured a golden color with a pine and off scent. Taste is major pine in the face with a little fruit in the background. Not to keen on this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice beer, bit too dry and light bodied. It's like there isn't enough beer to hold the hops and hops aren't as biting as a result ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Grifo. Cuerpo medio/intenso y carbonatación moderada/baja. Textura cremosa y oleosa, como queso. Toque frutal en el intermedio. Largo y resinoso final. Sabrosa. On-tap. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed @ Cervecería Freiburg on jun´12 –the whole band was there: Manolo,Robert & Juanjo. Honey yellow color, foggy appearance. White, rocky & copious, froth. Lasting crown, spots on sides. Crystal malt & intense hop aromas. Increasing sharp bitterness at first sip then crystal malts balance the flavor & provides smooth & voluptuous palate. Medium to full body, moderate to low carbonation. Oily & creamy texture, cheese-like. Fruity touch in the middle. Long resiny finish. Flavorful.

On tap at Beer Temple. Nice golden body with medium head. NOse is malts, and hops and plenty of pine. Really hoppy and bitter taste. The hops are plentiful. Lots of bitter, also in the finish. A bit too much though. Hops overkill.

Draught at Ølbaren, Copenhagen. Amber color. Plenty of pine in the aroma with mango and dank. Bittersweet flavor with herbal, grapefruity and orangey hops. Strongly bitter finish with some minerals. Very hoppy, late bitterness is a bit too much for me, otherwise nice DIPA.
