Bottle shared by Steve. Pours gold with white head. Nose/taste of tropical fruit, pineapple, pine and caramel malt. Finishes dry pine - a bit too dry. Medium body.

This really wasnt a good beer. I am not sure what went wrong here. This beer tasted like it has onions and garlic soaking in it. Maybe some old bready taste. I love a good IPA and Pliny is one of my favorites so it isnt just that I dont like IIPAís.
I was really disapointed as I was excited to try Heretic brewing.

Pours a deep gold color with a white head and plenty of lacing. The aroma has plenty of pine and resin, and the "dank" in the description definitely fits. The hops in the flavor are heavy on the resin as well, with a malt background and a slightly spicy finish and aftertaste.

Botella, Thanks Morten V.E! Hazy deep amber golden colour with a big off-white bubbly lively head. Strong aroma of herbal citrus hops and malt with caramel. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is quite hoppy, herbal hoppy like, fruitish too with toasty caramel and malt.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle via a liquor store in Morro Bay over Easter break. Pours a random golden yellow/orange with some head. Aroma was minimal at best but was more hop forward than malty. Taste was average to nice with no bottle dating it was hard to tell how old this bottle might have been so I was bracing for the worst. Overall, a descent DIPA and one that I would drink again on tap without question. Not sure I would buy a bottle again with other offerings out there. Nice name though as my cousinís are evil.

Enjoyed with a joint tasting with Dave (Strykzone) and world class trading partner from Illinois; We, as we often do, did a "joint tasting" via Facebook Chat. Great way to "share a beer" when you are 2000 miles apart. This poured a dark amber color and raised a tan head and left good sticky lacing rings. the nose was a blast of caramel malts and citrus hops, with some pine in the background. The body was medium and the mouthfeel very smooth and clean. The flavor was rich and showed all sorts of things, but citrus and pine dominated. A lot of malts backed it up. Good overall balance. The flavor was lightly bitter and even more so in the finish. This beer was really easy drinking for the style. It was hard to say way, but ti simply was. This was an outstanding West Coast DIPA.

Bomber from Hayduke. We both enjoyed a bottle via facebook chat. This poured a tea color and was slightly cloudy. A nice beige head was nice and never completely faded. Caramel and citrus aromas came out and greeted the nose. So good! They were also tasted and were prominent. bread and biscuits. Maybe even some crackers. The bitterness is moderate. Everything here is big and balanced nicely. That was a nice trick, too. This is a very nice take on the West Coast IIPA. Another winner from Ron. He keeps sending good beers. I am challenged to send such quality back. Ron might be the best trading partner ever. EVER!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Sampled on 3/31/2012. This Imperial India Pale Ale pours a medium orange gold color from a 22oz bottle. Medium to large sized white foamy head with nice retention and good lacing. The aroma is hoppy, citrusy and herbal, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Imperial IPA. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet, tons of orange. The hops are citrusy, grapefruity and herbal. A whole lotta hops balanced with a big malt backbone. The hops are up front and the malts are in the background. Juicy hops. Medium to high bitterness IPA. Nice balance. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Served in a SAVOR wine glass. I didnít write down who brought this one, unfortunately. Review to be corrected at a later date.
Pours a nice amber color with a good off-white head and a bit of lacing on the way down. The nose carries some nice tropical and citrus fruits along with a bit of pine. The flavor adds loads of hop bitterness and some bready malt and a touch of sweetness. Fruit flavor there as well. Medium body with a dry finish and nice bitterness throughout. Pretty good.

I have an evil cousin. Heís gotta be like 50 now. Borderline retarded. Feeble. Probably has a body count under his trailer. That said, I like this beer much better. Pounding hops with a reasonable maltiness in there to kinda balance it out.
