Evil Cousin is Hereticís take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who canít get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.

Sampled in a bomber. A big time ipa with a huge bite. A really enjoyable slow drinking ipa. Has a very floral aroma and long lasting palate boost. Great brew.

Bomber purchased at Bine and Vine ($7.99). Pours a golden-amber hue with three fingers of frothy white-ish head. Aroma of resiny pine sap, dank hops, earthy herbs, and a hint of citrus. Flavor of very "interesting" hops (soapy, vegetal, herbal, and dank hops), pine, caramel, some sour-ish citrus, and somewhat noticeable alcohol. Finishes juicy and bitter. An interesting DIPA, quite different from the norm. (129, 727)

65cl bottle. Herbal, pine and citrus aromas. Pours golden, with persistent white head and some lacework. Medium bodied, average carbonation and oily texture. Taste is really bitter, but balanced along some herbal and pine notes. Very powerful and enjoyable one.

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape, peach and floral. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long fruity, citrus, grape finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle, 22oz. A lightly hazy, golden-orange beer topped by a finger-thick, dense, off-white head. Really, really piney aroma, with some peaches in the back. Fruity, quite sugary too. The flavor is really bitter and piney, with resins, some peppery hints and a touch of something peppery. Full-bodied, quite sweet, although totally overpowered by the hoppy bitterness. Lasting finish with the bitterness dominating. Although a bit too much on the bitter side, itís a really fine beer. 120817

One of the better DPAís Iíve had. Pours hazy walnut with a tinge of orange. Big floral aroma of orange peel, and resinous citrus with an undercurrent of malty sweetness like honey. Full bodied with a perfect balance of sweet caramel malt and bitter orange/lemon rind hops. Just enough hops to linger on the tongue without being overwhelming.
