Very hoppy. Piney with citrus notes. Crisp and clean. Hides the alcohol well. Easy to drink. One of my favorite DIPAs.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours clear and coppery with a slight white head that just doesn’t go away, with good lacing. Aggressive hop profile that tends toward the resin and herb instead of citrus.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured from a bomber to a light copper with a full white head... Caramel, citrusy hops and a bit of toastiness. You can taste the citrus right away. and it tastes great... Doesnt taste like a high alcohol beer. This beer has a nice lasting finish to boot.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
650ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts reasonably well without leaving much lacing. Strong pine resin and grapefruit hops aromas mix with smoother toffee malt. Pine and chilli hops notes up front lead into some potently bitter citrus. Pine resin hops and toffee malt mix in the mid-palate, with the pine resin persisting through to the finish, where it is joined by grapefruit. There is a bitter herbal aftertaste. This is a nice, potently hoppy imperial IPA, and a very satisfying beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Keg at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a medium, white foam head. Big caramel and bread nose. Medium to strong sweet flavor, some pine, more caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly sticky finish, some resinous pine, ripe citrus. Some mild grainy malts. A decent DIPA,

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Bottle from Black Hearts & Sparrows. Great taste, amazing length. Aroma of burnt caramel, grass, grain. Taste starts sweet, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is creamy, full bodied. Amber, with a thin head.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks Brad.
The beer appears transparent and orange colored with 1/4" white head. The aroma offers some pine, citrus, light booze. Healthy malt presence with some pine and citrus notes. Slightly sweet with an aggressive bite in the finish. Medium to light body with heavy bitterness. Overall, this was ok. Nothing to write home about.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a deep golden amber with a billowy offwhite head. Falls away to leave a decent amount of lacing all the way down the glass. Aromas of light sweet caramel and resiny grassy piney hops. Not quite as assertive as I imaged but decent all the same. Flavour wise there are plenty of resiny hops. Not overly bitter to be honest. Some malt sweetness. Fullish mouthfeel. Nice easy drinking DIPA

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big bottle from Cousin Matt’s local BevMo. Meant to split it but ran out of Californian drinking days and have somehow ended up polishing it off on a rain-lashed November night at The Penguin. Pours warm, clear orange heaped with a diminishing off-white mousse. Aroma of drawer liners, perfumed neck (sorry, the missus’ perfumed neck), hot tyres, mature Cheddar, Shepherd Neame, liquorice and tinned peaches draped with honey. Pretty cacophonous with good, still-fresh musky hop rising above the peachiness. Slippery and honeyed with enough rasp, hum and bitterness to get away with it; notes of peaches, lemon icing, lavender, honey and lemon throatsweets. Good flowery green burps. Bit medicinal, Shep-like and not entirely to my taste but relieved to find it’s not a complete peach bomb.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
22-oz. bomber into a pint glass at my house on Nov. 13, 2012 (purchased at Mission Trails Market for $7.99 on Nov. 13, 2012). Caramel amber with three fingers of thick frothy white head.
Decent wet foamy retention on the top and the sides.
Smelled a nice dose of citrus hops. Got grapefruit, tangerine, lime, skunky pine and caramel (light). The skunk lingered on.
Tasted very hoppy right from the get-go. Got tangerine and grapefruit bitter hops up front with a strong bite of orange peels and alcohol lingering after. I kept waiting for the aftertaste to be good, but it never really came. Definitely missing something.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively (above average) carbonation. Skunky, bitter finish.
Was a bit disappointed overall, especially for the $7.99 price tag. It was missing something, came up just a tad short.
