Evil Cousin is Hereticís take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who canít get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.

Tap @ Fairbar, Aarhus. In a Fairbajer @ home.
Light hazy orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Aroma has good caramel in the base, lots of peach and apricot. Oranges and fresh plant sap. Lowish carbonation, fine dry and light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has caramel, mildly warming vinious, plant sap, apricot, peach, pine. Quite bitter finish. Very nice.

Single bottle purchased from a mom & pop store in Redondo Beach, California on 07/11/2012. Colour: Light orange with traces of yellow. Very little head. Nose: Hard boiled egg if forefront, oddly enough. Hops are certainly there - but not as in-your-face as lead to believe by its name. They have traces of pine and mothballs. Taste: Medium sweet, medium bitter, medium-light sour. A large malt presence gives this one decent amount of sweentess but not at a comprimising dose. The hops are big but not bursting in mid-palate, but a huge bitter finish rises up quickly and is accompanied by some vanilla bean ice cream and wax. Odd little duck but pleasent enough.

Bottle: Medium pretty vast slow disappearing white head on top of a hazy amber colored beer. Smell yeast, peach, oatmeal, manure, light hoppy, honey, light spicy, not the usual smell... But not bad. Tasty is more spicy than normal some hops and bitterness with honey light creamy fruit of mango, peach and grapefruit, some grass, grass bitterness, nice honey soft hoppy and bitter fruity. Aftertaste of †something light sweet, hoppy bitter fruit and an overal good bitterness. Low to medium carbo, light spicy creamy mouthfeel, medium to full body and a creamy texture More spicy DIPA than normal but not bad.

A delicious hop bomb of a beer. Aroma was heavy pine and grapefruit. The aroma was thick and chewy. Pour was a nice cloudy light orange with a one finger off white head. Taste was dank, resinous and bitter. Strong citrus and pine flavors scrape the inside of the mouth. A tad on the hot side.Very little malt to balance the beer out (which is how I like my IIPAs). Nice carbonation with a bitter hoppy finish. Very nice beer

Burnt orange in color... Aroma is pine and herbal hops... Flavor is strongly piney hops with nice balance of caramel malts, but still has a significant pine and herbal hop backbone... Fairly dry, but still very good... Enjoyable

Tap at Craft Beer Co. It pours cloudy light orange, with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is orange squash, creaminess, grapefruit, sharpness, sherbet, dough and flour. The taste is orange squash, grapefruit, spice, leather, straw, citrus pith, bread, sherbet and resin, with a bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Nice juicy citrus going on.

Keg @ CBCís 1st Birthday Party. Amber color with no head. The nose is strong grains and light orange. A bit syrupy. The taste is light grainy breakfast cereal and general floral bitter hops. Orange rind and brown sugar. The bodyís pretty light for the abv, prickly carbonation. OK.

Keg at Craft. Hazy amber beer, tidy white head. Smooth soft palate with fine carbonation. A beer of 2 halves if ever there was one. The first half is very grainy - raw malt - off putting. The second half loses the raw malt and has pleasant sweet hops, tangerine and orange and orange marmalade. Finishes semi dry. Hard to mark this one!
