COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Evil Cousin is Hereticís take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who canít get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.

Pours a Nice golden orange with a medium thick off white head. Aroma is more candied fruit and honey than a normal west coast style dipa, but still intriguing. Flavor is grapefruit, pine, and just a hint of caramel malt balance. Very good beer, but over priced at $9/∑bomber

Bomber. Big citrus nose, with large shots of caramel. Hazy light orange/brown color. Grapefruit and bread dipped in honey / mid gets some balance, but hops are a bit extreme / finish has another layer of hops, with just a hint of the caramel. Medium-heavy body, with hops felt as a texture. Maybe light alcohol for an imperial, but it certainly tastes and feels like one. More or less a hop bomb. Pretty good.

Poured from a bomber with a light carbonation. First aroma and taste had lots if citrus hops. As the glass progressed the piney hops came forward. Not a bad double IPA but it had a bit of a lingering bitterness that I don't like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from mane liquor. Pours a bright orange with a nice firm white head. Nose has an aggressive hop profile! Quite citric and resinous. Grassy type hops are evident maybe some herbs in there. Taste has a citrus tang about it and spicey notes coming through as well. Soft carbonation make for easy drinking. Bit different to your usual massive DIPA. Good beer I like this ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In short: A under-malted and over-hopped abrasive piney and grassy golden IPA. Hard to drink
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed relatively fresh a few weeks after receiving it from oakbluff, thanks a lot Scott
The look: Clear golden body topped by medium off-white head quickly dissipating to a small persistent layer of foam
In long: Nose is rather piney but also with plenty of dry grass with a spicy twist. Taste has elusive malts, light body, residual sugars without backbone. Balance is obviously not the goal here. Hop profile was like a hefty dose of chinook-like high alpha acid sandy piney hops with also a whole lot of Saaz-like dry grassy hope with a spicy edge. Iím almost certain no Saaz went into this American IPA but thatís what it tasted like. There was also a soapy edge I could have done without. Very looooonnnnnggggg after-taste. This beer didnít work for me, abrasive, not refreshing, hard to drink despite the light body, couldnít take big sips without making faces. I was very much disappointed by this one, and it is the all those disappointments caused by all the boring beers I buy that drove me into drinking, and that makes perfect sense to me.

Very hoppy. Piney with citrus notes. Crisp and clean. Hides the alcohol well. Easy to drink. One of my favorite DIPAs. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear and coppery with a slight white head that just doesnít go away, with good lacing. Aggressive hop profile that tends toward the resin and herb instead of citrus.

Poured from a bomber to a light copper with a full white head... Caramel, citrusy hops and a bit of toastiness. You can taste the citrus right away. and it tastes great... Doesnt taste like a high alcohol beer. This beer has a nice lasting finish to boot.

650ml bottle. Pours a hazy golden amber, with a moderate off-white head, which lasts reasonably well without leaving much lacing. Strong pine resin and grapefruit hops aromas mix with smoother toffee malt. Pine and chilli hops notes up front lead into some potently bitter citrus. Pine resin hops and toffee malt mix in the mid-palate, with the pine resin persisting through to the finish, where it is joined by grapefruit. There is a bitter herbal aftertaste. This is a nice, potently hoppy imperial IPA, and a very satisfying beer.

Keg at CBC - Clerkenwell, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a medium, white foam head. Big caramel and bread nose. Medium to strong sweet flavor, some pine, more caramel. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Fairly sticky finish, some resinous pine, ripe citrus. Some mild grainy malts. A decent DIPA,
