Evil Cousin is Hereticís take on a West coast imperial IPA. This beer is a bold, in-your-face hop monster. It has a light, easy drinking malt character that allows the hops to stand out. The hop character in this beer is intentionally on the dank side; big, sticky, and aggressive. This beer is for those of you who canít get enough hops. Join us on the dank side.

On tap at Stone Brewing World Bistro. Hazy amber with orange highlights supporting a two finger off white head with a nice film of thin lacing. Aggressive aroma of earthy, rustic hops - not a classic west coast citrus explosion. A bit of citrus in the flavor but the rustic hop profile dominates along with toffee and a hint of mango. Sticky, full mouthfeel. Dry, bitter finish with a touch of white pepper.

Draught at Eureka. Amber with a lasting, creamy white head. Big, dank, weedy aroma. Medium body with a little alcohol presence but not too sweet. Nice soft mouthfeel and carbonation. A little bready and just plain malty. Big resiny hop bitterness and finish. Drinks well for itís size and works the big, dank west coast double IPA angle well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Triple Rock poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of candied orange, pink grapefruit, biscuit and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, orange, pink grapefruit and light pine with a crisp dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Tap at the Rubicon. Pours clear copper. Aroma seems fruit, citrus and pine. Med body. Flavor is a mix of hops and something unusual reminding me of burnt rubber. Finishes bitter. Somehow the odd flavor is working rather well.

Clear light orange with a fizzy white head. Strong skunky pine and grassy hoppy aroma and taste with almost no malt backbone to balance out the bitterness.

Draft. Mostly clear golden in color with a well-formed white head and some lacing. The aroma is hoppy as (pardon my Freedom) shit. A citrusy and resinous blast launches an assault on your nostrils. The assault continues on the palate, and itís great. There is a crisp pale malt base that lends a mild sweetness to balance the massive hop bitterness. Oily and resinous on the mouthfeel with medium body for the style and a good carbonation level. Overall a very impressive west coast DIPA.
