COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

Bottle @ pre-TFODRBSG, Ulfborg. Hazy dark red amber with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and moderate hoppy - fruity and citrus. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 170812

Bottle - Sweet molasses from the malts with some flowery hops in the background. Small head and cloudy brown hue. Citrus hops throughout with a bitterness to match. Some malt notes lurking in the back, but not too pronounced. Will definitely try again.

Bottle, shared at RBAG Summer Session 2012. Murky brown with golden highlights, crowned by an average off-white head the leaves minimal lacing. Very hop-forward aroma, perfumey citrus with that signature hard-to-pin-down fruit quality I often find in Centennial hops (berries?... not exactly, melon?...closer maybe). Nice hoppy palate too, medium bodied with a soft mouthfeel, but marred slightly by a minerally/dusty quality that I’ve found in a few Mikkeller brews (I think its a yeast thing). Quite nice though.

22 ounce form Blackwell’s. Big malty and hoppy red. Lots of bitterness in there as well. Not too sweet. Caramel finish.

On tap at Gourmet Haus. Great citrus and cotton candy aroma. Hazy olde orange with an off-white head of large bubbles and clinging to glass. Full malt and spice collide. Medium-full mouthfeel. Bitter finish lingers long.

Dark red in appearance. the aroma has a hint of sweetness and a nice citrusy hop note. The flavor is sweet and malty with an underlying hoppiness.
