3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Keg at PSBH, Manchester. Very nice dark red shade. Short head. Rings of lacing. Piney, caramelly and toasty. Fruity in a red grape and red apple sort of way. Very bitter and without much sweetness to balance that out. I like it but would appreciate a little more sweetness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottling date of 05.18.15.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a nice looking dark hazy red almost brown color with a nice transparency about it. A one and a half finger-ed white to off white foamy head dissipated within less than two minutes. Yeah, that head really stuck around longer than a lot of other beers I’ve had. Nice! Lacing was somewhat thick and foamy.
The smell started off with bitter citrus over bitter pine. Its sharp and strong and allows a nice little bit of caramel underneath to balance.
The taste was mostly bitter with a nice underscore of sweet between the caramel and the hops. A light caramel to bitter citrus rind scores in the aftertaste and leads to a semi-dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly nice sessionability about it. Carbonation hits nicely as an American Strong ale - decent bitter harshness but still balanced by caramel sweetness to not be overly done.
Overall, I say this was a nice beer, I’d have again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours a big old muddy pile of foam and ruby red gunk. This has an aggressively malty, caramel character, full of stickiness and heaviness. Chewy, chewy, chewy. (#6016, 8/4/2015)

Bomber from Whole Foods PM. Pours hazy ruby with a finger of khaki head. Nose is caramel malt, resiny hops, fruit. Tastes caramel malty, vinous fruity, sprucey, hoppy, with a bold and complex finish. Outstanding.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Even toned dark amber with a dense, off white head. Aron is standard RIPA, but with a nutty chocolate note. Taste is the same, with a fresh hop character, and a prickliness on the palate. My first Jamil beer ever. $6/22oz

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark mahogany, ruby red hue.
Big grapefruit nose, hint of special roast, lower lovibond caramel with low levels of burnt ness, candy flavor strawberry fruit roll-up. Lighter body for all that's going on. Very well balanced, clean, high drink ability. Very impressed, first Heretic.
