This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

Part of the 1000 †at AQ Bevolutionís Event at Kamikaze 6.8% A reddish brown color with a floral pine needle aroma that has a certain sweetness to it. A very quaffable bitter piney beer but I donít get much from the Malts beyond some biscuity qualities. Still very very nice.

Bottle. Sweet blackberry and hop aroma, taste is sweet with a dry bitter at the back end, long finish, looks pretty with the red colors. Great beer up front a little off putting after taste.

Dark brown pour with red highlights. Sweet malty aroma with a touch of soy sauce that fades into more of a cherry nose. Very rich malt body is balanced by a clear but subtle hop note. Finishes with roast and resin that somehow melds really well. This has to be one of the most complex and well-balanced beers iíve had.

Aroma of tamarind, resin, grapefruit and a little cookie. Deep amber with a very thin tan head. The taste is of toasted malts, nutmeg, wheat with a bitter finish. I'm not getting this quite right...it's really good.

650ml Bottle from Harts Pub. Very nice Red Pour, Nice on the nose. The Pine, grapefruit flavours went really well with the strong Biscuit, nut and Toffee flavours that became stronger the more I drank. Very happy I got a chance to try this. very nice indeed.

Bottle. Pours redding. Think it might have been a bit old. Good hop aroma, well balanced, caramel and such. Solid.

0.65 L bottle, kindly shared by GrOve. Pours a dark amber body with good clarity. Mediumsized off-white head. Quite bold hop aroma, reminscent of grapefruit, leaves, earth and resin. Nicely balanced by toasted, breadcrust scented malts. Sweetish, toasted/mildly roasted and buiscuity malt base. Fruity and resinous bitterness. Medium full. Balanced fruity bitter and malty ending. Very likable.
