COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

Bottle. Nose of malty hops. Pours a dark brown with red tinting and off white medium head. Red ale malts with hoppy finish, a little light on the finish.

Very hazy golden body with an off-white, long-lived head that sticks to the glass. Strong hoppy/malty aroma of caramel, grains, slightly overripe generic fruits, pineapple and traces of orange. Strong flavour of caramel, slightly overripe tropical fruits, pine and resin. In the back I get grapefruit, orange marmalade and anise. Moderate sweet taste with a rather heavy bitter and long-lasting finish. Full-bodied, oily and with a soft carbonation. Very nice!

Nice deep brown with oily team head. Noise is caramel and some roasted malt, maybe some florals. Flavor is robust caramel, pumpernickel crust, with some faint citrus and floral hops. Light to medium mouthfeel.

Gylden ugjennomsiktig med høyt hvitt skum. Aroma av furu, gress og malt. Smaken er furu, mild karamell og sitrus. Søt, før en lun bitterhet gjør seg gjeldende. Smak av bær i ettersmaken. Medium konsistens.

Pours dark mahogany, reddish chestnut. Bit of beige foam that reduces into thinner film. Aroma has some malty happiness, rowan berries and red currants. Taste reveals nice red IPA character where you have strong malty backbone that contributes with berry-like flavours but also bread crust and bitterness. Hops are strong at the end, long ensuing dry bitter finish. Feels quite clear and relatively light, yet flavourful. Good one.

Opaque chestnut with thin head. Nutty malts leading into grassy herby hops. Very dry finish with lingering flavors of both the malts and hops. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at home. Aroma is toasted bready malts, caramel, fruity hops, grapefruit, pine resin. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Both robust and refreshing, I like the malt/hop balance. Very good.
