COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

Dark red in appearance. the aroma has a hint of sweetness and a nice citrusy hop note. The flavor is sweet and malty with an underlying hoppiness.

Can from Beer Gonzo webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry. Consumed at home Friday 5th February 2016 Rich blood red on the pour with a sticky light beige head that is a clinger to the glass. Another beer that has a real thick and substantial mouthfeel, an almost zingy clean toothpastes feel in the way that this attacks the gums. A little hoppy malty, toffee good hoppy burst with a punchy resinous burst. Like this, bit malty maybe but the hops cut through well. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Deep red/brown pour with thin off white head. Sweet, sticky malts, with a juicy, resinous hop bite. Decent, but a bit of an off after taste for me.

Tap at the Great Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear reddish brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is yeast, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter with a light watery woody light metallic hop, light floral bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Can - bright copper with a thin beige ring for a head. Aroma of peppery notes, wheat and yeast complemented by lots of ripe peaches and mangoes. Taste of deep caramel, grassy and light peachy fruits followed by a medium lingering bitterness with some earthy flavour. Medium to heavy body, medium carbonation, oily body.

Aroma: High hops (Cascade), Light toffee Appearance: Brilliant dark red body. Medium-large tan head, good retention, lacing. Flavour: Medium hops, resin (cascade). Medium bitterness. Balancing malt backbone. Dry finish with lingering resin. Mouthfeel: Medium-full body. Medium-low carbonation. Slight warming. Overall: Impressive. Massive hops aroma, good hop flavour, but not overpoweringly bitter. 350 ml can, poured. Thanks Andre! 21B. Specialty IPA: Red IPA

Can shared in ABZ. It pours hazy darkest red - brown with a thick light tan head. The nose is bitter - sweet, oily, jammy berry, Victoria sponge cake, varnish, orange peel and caramel. The taste is bitter, varnish, pine, red fruits, orange peel, waxy citrus, bergamot, red grapefruit, mild astringency alcohol heat and pepper with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. A bit too dry perhaps. OK.

Can from BottleDog, Edinburgh. Attractive ruby body with a dense beige head. Good lacing. Aroma of honey, lemon, blackcurrant and Earl Grey tea. Flavour of syrup, roasted malt, plum and blood orange. Thin to medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Evil Twin brew well balanced, flavoursome beers - this is delicious. It reminded me of Ayinger Celebrator (a different beer style, I know).
