COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This blood-red ale may not be what you might expect from a malty and hoppy craft beer. Evil Twin has a rich malt character, without being overly sweet. It has a huge hop character, without being overly bitter. It is a great example of a bold, rich, balanced craft beer, without being heavy and hard to drink in quantity. Our Evil Twin is only bad because it is too good to resist.

Bottle, 10C. Dark red with a large beige head. Aroma of oranges and chocolate, toast, white pepper, soap, herbs, aging lawn clippings. Medium bodied, slightly creamy. Taste has toffee and nuts, oranges, peaches, pepper, galangal. Long, spiced and herbal finish with moderate bitterness. Interesting.

Opaque chestnut with thin head. Nutty malts leading into grassy herby hops. Very dry finish with lingering flavors of both the malts and hops. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can at home. Aroma is toasted bready malts, caramel, fruity hops, grapefruit, pine resin. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and moderate to medium bitter. Body is medium. Both robust and refreshing, I like the malt/hop balance. Very good.

A nice mildly hopped dark ipa. Good balance of roasted malts and hop bitterness. Very slight astringent taste to my palate. Overall slightly above average for the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is big resin-y hops forward with sweet caramel malt and hint of chocolate. Appearance is dark brown with a bit of ruby red, froth yoff white head retaining well. Taste is well balanced with hop bitterness and sweet malt... caramel and chocolate. How flavoring blends right in and lifts up the malt. Palate is medium plus. A drinkable beer though. Nice amount of alcohol without being a monster beer. Overall a well crafted beer. Fun to drink and flavors are all quite nice. Could use a little more malt depth if Im being picky, but my can says it is almost 6 months since canning. Will likely buy this again, good solid beer.

UPDATED: JUN 11, 2016 starts off pretty boozy but turns into a sweet malt and finishes with hops. The malt is sweet but not rot your teeth sweet and its quite enjoyable. Well balanced.

Can sample at Växjö Ölfestival, thanks DM! Clear reddish amber with off white head. Aroma of resin, grapefruit, pine, spicy rye and caramel. Taste is nicely balanced, hoppy, nice clean maltiness, caramel, pine, resin and light fruit.
