3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, dark golden to amber beer with a two-finger, off-white head leaving some curtains. The aroma feels a little bit one-dimensional hop pellets-like piney. Some citrus peel and maltyness escapes the glass too though. It’s a bit thin on the palate, with a very soft carbonation. Pine cones, citrus peel and some sweetness, and of course, a nice bitterness in the flavor. Lasting bitterness, but the rest of the flavor fades quickly. Considering the ABV, it’s certainly a nice one, else it’s a bit boring. 130808

Bomber from Corti Bros. Pours very ruddy copper with a slight beige head. Nose is nicely rye with some fruit and citrus. Near med body. Flavor is definitely rye spice with some pale pitted fruit and citrus. It’s very tasty for a low ABV ale.

Bottle from Taylor’s Market, Sacramento. Pours dark copper with a modest off-white head and a bready aroma. There is a very bitter rye flavor with dryness that sticks to the palate. Lots of flavor for a low-alcohol brew, but perhaps too bitter.
