Draft @ Jupiter Sour Sunday, Jupiter, Berkeley, CA. Pours a very dark brown ruby color with a small tan head. Has a fruity woody sour tart aroma with berry hints. Fruity woody sour tart flavor with hints of caramel. Has a fruiy malty woody sour tart berry finish.

Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours very, very dark with a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark sour malt. With some fruit. Med + body. Flavor is moderately sour. There’s hints of red berry, treacle and chocolate. Gets towards cherry with time. Some wood is present, but the flavors are too strong to get anything specific. Quite tasty, if a little bit overly malty.

On tap at Harry’s Hoffbrau in Redwood City. Pours a dark brown with red highlights. Brown head. Sweet malt aroma delicately balanced by the sour. This beer is amazingly complex and well balanced, and is a very carbonated, spritzy beer. Lots of mellow cherry on the flavor and sweet cracker marrying well with the sourness.

On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours very dark brown with some ruby tints in the light. Off white head. The aroma is very nice with tart blackberries and leather. The flavor has more leather, soot, blackberries and a hint of cocoa powder. Not as mouth puckering as most sours, but still well executed and tasty. No flaws in this one.

On tap at Jupiter Sour Sunday. Pours black with a nice tan head and a smoky molasses aroma. There is a hearty dark molasses flavor with some chocolate and a dry finish.
