Shallow Grave Porter is dark as night, perfect for a cool evening out in the woods. This a big, dark ale with a complex and rich chocolate and caramel malt character followed by a touch of warmth and light malt sweetness, leaving you ready for more after each shovelful. You will love this so much you won’t have time to dig a six-footer, so make it a Shallow Grave. We’re sure you’ll dig it.

Bomber. Pitch black color with a lasting tan head. Big roasted malt aroma that has a lot of coffee and slight smoke/ash. The flavor is quite roasty and bitter with a subtle malt sweetness and smooth, medium body. Hops aren’t too aromatic but make a powerful bitter impression, along with a decent amount of flavor. This is a big porter that probably fits best in the export stout style. Lots of roast and generous hops.

Good sized sample from The Fedora. Pours black with tan lacy foam. Aroma is chocolate, roast, some light smoke. Taste starts out lightly sweet and roasty before finishing dry and lightly bitter. Flavors of chocolate, light coffee and smoke, some light licorice notes. Mouthfeel is velvet. Really nice beer.
