COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Tafelbully is a Belgian-inspired table beer based on a recipe from our friend Matt Staley. Tafelbully is the bully of the other table beers, pushing them around with its citrusy dry hopping, Belgian yeast spiciness, and a refreshing Brettanomyces finish. Even though it is a bit bolder than most, this is still a session beer. It features a delicate malt character from the European pilsner and specialty malts and judicious dry hopping with citrusy Sorachi and Amarillo to compliment the gentle fruitiness and delicate phenols of the Belgian and Brettanomyces yeasts.

Tap at AQ Bevolution 2nd Anniversary event at Yellow Ape Craft. Moderately intense bready malt nose with some funk. Mild fruity initial, Brett rises up soon along with a touch of sour fruit, stewed peaches, and a mild acid note in final. Good enough but seems underdone.

On tap at the AQ Bevolution x Yellow Ape Event. A 4.8% table beer made with Brett . A citrusy dry barnyard Brett aroma. The taste is barnyard funk, citrus, a touch metallic but a dry interesting sessionable beer.Overall, a tasty light summer beer.

On Tap at PreFunk, Boise Slightly hazy light golden orange. Soapy white head. Clingy lacing. Light floral Belgian yeast and more sweet perfumy flavors. The Belgian character is flower and a bit papery. Very light bodied and smooth quick finish. Interesting.

I love finding new Heretic brews in town.. Very cool. Enjoyed a nice goblet at PreFunk tonight while out with Ditmier. Pours a clear golden.. okay lacing and cap. Nose is bretty.. pale malt spiked with wet dog and wool socks.. light citrus hoppiness. Flavor mirrors the nose.. bretty notes that remind me interesting beers don’t need a monster ABV... light pale malt helps carry the brett... hops are a bit perfumy making for a "shampooed wet dog"... could maybe be a bit drier. Light body and nice bubble. I am surprised I like this one as much as I do... I like Orval, but I would drink this most times over Orval... The hops really help.

Clear golden pour at the brewery taproom. White head and lacing. Nose is slightly tropical stone fruit and a hint of grass. Taste is clean and crisp, some tropical fruit. No funk here. Refreshing.

GABF. Golden hue with white head. Aroma is straw, cereal, slight sulphur, light esters. Medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is dry throughout with slight yeast spiciness in the finish. Overall this beer was ok.

Pours a half finger of head on a clear light straw colored body. The aroma has that "Bretty" smell and some grain. Nice. The taste has moderate lemon bitterness and some mild pine. Good balance. The texture is crisp. Pleasant.
