Our Torment is a rich beer with lots of caramel, malt, dark fruit, and dark Belgian candi sugar notes. The luscious fruity character is full of caramel apples, candied pears, and chocolate covered oranges.

Bottle to tulip. As it warmed, complexity of aroma showed well with biscuit, toast, fruity esters and dark fruit. Brown with ruby highlights. Overt dark fruit. Strong Belgian yeast and moderate candi sugar. Bready malt is moderate.

Pours a gorgeous deep ruby red into a tulip glass with small one finger head that dissipates fairly quickly. Smells of toffee, dates, raisins and plums are apparent. Tastes of caramel, dark fruits, orange zest and spices. A medium-bodied mouthfeel with a peppery finish, probably due to the spices used. Overall, this is a very good dark belgian strong ale. It is quite sweet but has a nice tanginess and bitterness in the finish to distinguish it from many others.

On tap at the brewery. What a great Quad... It makes you remember how good these beers can be. It pours a very dark red color with a khaki head. The aroma is fresh dark fruit. Cherry, plum, raisins and a little hard candy. The flavor is super rich with over ripe fruit, raisins, cherries, fruitcake. Delicious. Mild phenolics from the yeast in the finish. Alcohol is very well hidden. Smooth and tasty.

Pouts a bubbly brown w/ a big tan head that leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is malty caramel. The taste is thick caramel & delicious! It’s a little heavy on the palate but an overall excellent dessert beer!
