Our Torment is a rich beer with lots of caramel, malt, dark fruit, and dark Belgian candi sugar notes. The luscious fruity character is full of caramel apples, candied pears, and chocolate covered oranges.

Appearance: clear brown with one finger of short-lived light beige head, patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: toffee, plum, raisin, candi sugar, cocoa, boozy dark fruit. (7/10) Taste: moderate sweet, mild bitter, light tart (7/10) Palate: medium-full body, lively carbonation, drying mildly boozy finish. (4/5) Decent Belgish BSDA. Dark fruit, boozy. Not very tormenting at all, truth be told. Could stand to be heavier in the body, and bolder, but on the other hand itís impressively easy drinking for a double-digit ABV. (14/20)

Overall , this beer was OK. It is fruity and oaky. Definitely enjoyable, but did not "wow" me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a half finger of light tan head on a dark brown body. The aroma is caramel, burnt caramel, ripe plum and alcohol. The taste is quite sweet, a little boozy, lots of fruits and chocolate. The texture is medium with nice fizz. Itís rich.

Bottle. Muddy, dark brownish red. Minimal cap. Aroma of dark fruit, brown sugar, tootsie roll. Taste is sweet. Palate is initially creamy, relatively clean, develops a soft stickiness from a medium carbonation.

Bottle picked up at the brewery. Pour is typical for a Belgian strong, dark and rich. Nose is a bit sweet, dark fruits, spice. Taste is malt forward with the taste of multiple dark fruits. Complex. Very nice Belgian strong.

Pours a very nice clear chestnut amber... tan head had decent retention and good lacing. The nose is pretty good... apples stewed with some brown sugar.. hints of clove.. light toffee.. maybe something that I can associate as citrus zest.. The aroma dries out with warmth and that reveals even more complexities... a bit figgy and some peppery notes.. EtOH is there, but soft and perfumy. Flavor mirrors the nose... but there is a bit of cocoa there mid palate that accentuates the toffee and fruitiness... on the tongue, more pear than apple.. maltiness becomes thicker and more clinging with a lot of warmth... it helps really tie things together.. figgy/raisin box notes.. no real stone fruits is a little bit surprising, though not a big deal... a bit sweet IMHO, but the drier finish makes up ground. Could stand to have a bit more bubble.. the palate though is damn good.. medium with a medium carbonation.

Very Belgian bouquet. Upfront sweet caramel and even banana followed by dark fruit cake. Chocolate orange comes along for the ride toward the finish with a distinctive floral undertone. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Clear mahogany pour with a thin tan head. Aroma is raisin, plum, a little spicy... Really interesting. Taste is sweet and rich, raisin and a bit of rum, caramel, earthy. A lot going on.

Tap at Watering Hole. Fairly clear deep copper with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Brown sugar, molasses, toffee, rum raisin, dried apricot and alcohol notes abound. Boozy on the palate and super sweet. The candied sugar really stands out. Belgian-like but messy. Too boozy, with a strong alcohol finish and some roasted caramel notes.

Keg at Brewdog bristol. Aroma is tart red cranberry, sweet unrefined sugars, raisin, little raisin, nutty and tangy berry. Flavour is composed of nutty, cakey malts, boozy dried fruits, sweet unrefined sugars. Palate is pretty sweet verging on cloying, moderate carbonation. Lingering unrefined sugars and low Belgian yeast character.
