A nice Belgian fruity beer. Pours a beautiful deep ruby red with a tan head. Smells of green apple, orange and a sweet nuttiness. Taste has lots of green apple, more orange in the middle, balanced with some chocolate malt in the finish. Would be a good winter beer. Had in the bottle.

On draft, into a tulip glass. pours a deep brown, almost black, with ruby tones. Moderate tan head which persists and leaves good lacing. Nose is dark fruit, figs, raisins, etc. Taste is dark fruit and candi sugar, with complex flavor profile emerging as it warms. Just delicious. Smooth, creamy mouth feel, with a long finish that leaves you wanting more.

Pours a deep amber brown and red hue. Has a 1.5 finger head which drops to a half finger and stays. Has a deep rich malty, toast and caramel aroma with hints of fruit and slight resin with a lingering slight candy smell. Flavor is a smooth malt with that toasty hint still and a slight sweetness that compliments it well. It finishes with a delightful light hops bitterness and a balanced mouth feel. Overall this is one dangerously great brew and this is what i expect out of a Belgian Ale. Good job Heretic.

Pours a dark brown with an off-white head and lacing. It has a great aroma of plums, raisins, and dust. The flavor is dark fruit and a dusty backbone with a slightly sweet finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is fairly hot, with notes of alcohol, caramel malt and a little candied sugar. Flavour brings out candied sugar and alcohol, followed by dark fruits and toffee. Quite hot, but well-balanced, finishing on notes of alcohol and sugar. Nicely balanced, though quite hot. Good stuff.

Not much of a head. Figs and dark fruit aroma. Murky brown colour with a rich Belgian ale with rich malts tasting of dark fruits and a little booze. Not bad at all

Bottle to tulip. As it warmed, complexity of aroma showed well with biscuit, toast, fruity esters and dark fruit. Brown with ruby highlights. Overt dark fruit. Strong Belgian yeast and moderate candi sugar. Bready malt is moderate.
