Jun 4, 2005 Not very dark and rather lightweight. More like a mild I thought. Some soft malt and a hint of chocolate but not a lot of presence. Overall feel is a bit wishy-washy. Serviceable but uninspiring. Cask (gravity dispense), Cambridge Beer Festival, May 2005.

May 28, 2005 Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Cambridge BF. A very dark brown coloured porter with some slight roasty notes in the aroma together with some licquorice. The taste is roasty and there is some coal notes and a bit of burnt malts. A bit thin for a porter but tasty enough.
