Not a bad beer. Pours a pale yellow golden colour, with a generous foamy head. Taste better than it looks. Taste is well balanced for a lager.

draught. At 2006 Toronto Festival of Beer. Pale clear yellow, flat-looking, huge frothy white head. PL aroma - generic sweetish grain, dead hops; PL taste of same, a little sour on warming, not all that vegetal; thin, watery mouthfeel, pretty flat, quick diminish, very slight vague "off" aftertaste. Won’t scare Joe Sixpack, but I won’t bother again, at most it’s boring.

Bottle from Boutip. Aroma is malty, sweet, and a little citrus hop.Looks a decent gold with white head that fades. Starts out kinda interesting. Somewhat analogous to budweiser, though with substantially less of a corn / aluminum flavor and more hops. As I drink it it starts to build up a nice little tangy aftertaste. Does have a nice modest palate, not overcrabonated, not too watery. I agree that it’s good for a lager though it’s not my favorite in that category, I see this as enough better than BMC beer to be worth making the distinction. Certainly nothing to get upset about drinking, as most entries in this category are!

I like it. Seems to have a beer taste that is a little less appologetic - not the ’smooth drinking’ character of bud light or blue.

(Cold) hazy yellow with orangey shine; fluffy snow-white head. Very grassy, bit mouldy, not unlike German "feinherb". Dull initial pilsner taste, grainy, little bit toasted, summergrain. Aftertaste gets some hopcharacter. Slick, grist-like MF; the toasted taste nonobstinating, rather refreshing. Reasonable pilsner.

Stubby Bottle. Yellow pour, small white head. There is definitely at attempt at some hop aroma here, but it is rather weak. An odd grain/grassy sort of aroma as well. Mouthfeel is a tad thin and watery, but holds up well enough. Taste is again sort of grain like, but with the hint of hops and yeast. Comes off sort of honey like as well. Short finish, but what does linger is not that nice. Still, I now prefer this to the dark. There is craft here and I could see this finding an audience in the summer. A few notches below a Northumberland Ale, Robert Simpson, and Dogsbody for me though (I know they are different styles, but they are local lagers/ales I would reach for in the summer).

The Lure:
Grassy hops protrude from the yeasty haystack. Cidery hints and sulphur suggestions peek over the transparent golden yellow surface.

The Festivities:
Lingering grassy, resinous hop bitterness plays heartily with the earthy yeast. The haystack still looks on from not too far away, as does a rusty, wheel-less car. Light, refreshing, but full of distressing watery interludes.

Transcendence:
A competent macro replacement, but nowhere near a good pils replacement.

Pours an almost greenish-yellow hue with a frothy white head with poor lacing. Aromas of grass???, hay, fresh hops without the bittering and a little buttery. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a lingering finish. Flavors of copper??, honey , a little bubble gum and a hint of flowers. Decent for what it is, but far from amazing.

341 ml stubby bottle. See-through golden blond with a modicum of creamy white thin-looking head...fresh, sweet grass and a surprising amount of hoppiness in the nose...solid, full body, moderate herb-flecked hoppiness throughout, a touch of honey and a lovely bitter/dry herbal finish. Top-notch for style; thanks Luc!

POurs a clear golden color, big fluffy white head and a decent amount of lace. Light hops and malt in the nose. Flavor is malty but a little too grainy. Short finish. Lighter body. Really not all that bad.
