COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoppy nose, smooth velvety mouthfeel, ending with a fresh, satisfying, crisp flavor with no aftertaste.

It's "fresh, satisfying, crisp" as the commercial description promises, but otherwise pretty unexciting. If they threw some more hops in there, I might give it a second chance...

The stubby is the selling point. Crisp clean beer, with a bit of bitterness to it. It takes a better lager than this to make me reach for a lager rather than an ale.

UPDATED: SEP 4, 2004 Stubby bottle is different. Golden color with a short-lived head. Fairly clean, slightly bitter finish. Not bad, not great.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2004 A local brewer from Ottawa. Pours a white head with a copper coloured body. Better than the dark (which seemed more red than dark?) but not to the standards of Upper Canada et al. Re-rate: I enjoyed this much more on tap at the Black Tomato than in the bottle. The malt flavours are more distinct - not the mellowness mingle - and the finish lingers longer. Above average CANADIAN Pale Lager...

Very variable. Some times tatses better than others. Still, a standard micro lager with little to recommend it.

Very clean copper coloured lager with fresh bready malt character. Finishes a little quickly.

Nice floral hop aroma. Big bitter hop bite in the body and long bitter palate (contrary to the commercial description). Nice refreshing lager.
