Stubby: Golden almost copper colour. Hoppy, floral nose with grassy notes. Somewhat herbal with faint malt flavour...white bread. Medium-bodied but unbalanced with a bitter almost sour? aftertaste.

Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2011
Originally rated February 2006. Comes in a stubby bottle. This premium lager pours a golden colour with an amber touch. Carbonation is quite present, big white head with medium retention and good all around lacing. The nose is very nice, with floral notes and a beautiful perfume. The mouthfeel is the weakest part, being a bit thin and watery, but then, the taste bring you back right into it. Grainy malt, floral hops, slight fruit and a dry and mild bitter finish. Not much of an aftertaste. Recommended for a good alternative to macro lagers, and for a good intro to micro-breweries.

Draught. Pours a pale amber-copper colour with a good white head. Aromas of hops with a decent fruity note. Taste is lighter than expected with the fruit (citrus) flavours and spices nicely playing with the hops. A very nice brew.

Tasted in a bottle at the brewery. A genuine premium lager, i.e. what it should taste like : hoppy, no finish, floral and fruity bouquet.

341 bottle from LCBO. Pours a hazy yellow gold with big billowing white head. Light sweet, grainy malt nose with maybe a little fruitiness. Taste is even sweeter and grainy. Ridiculously fizzy carbonation beyond the point of over-carbonation. Relatively weak effort

[on tap at Chez Lucien in Ottawa] Weak base malt aroma with some caramel and fresh fruit cocktail notes. Clear dark straw under a thin, white patch and ring. Sweet, lemony caramel malt flavour with low bitterness. Faint nut and blueberry notes and a hint of diacetyl butter. Light to medium body, tangy sweet finish.

Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 27, 2009
Bottle: Poured a bright deep golden color ale with a medium size foamy head with average retention and not much lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with no discernable notes of adjunct as well as any hops presence. Taste of lightly sweet malt with hints of corn syrup and no hops presence which could have provided additional depth top this beer. Body is full with a somewhat oily texture and lower then average carbonation.
Earlier Rating: 5/23/2006 Total Score: 2.4
Bottle: Poured a golden yellow color lager with a small white head with minimal retention. Aroma of weak malt with no floral or sweetness characteristic. Taste is drier then expected with some malt presence. Hops are clearly not a big part of this beer. I guess this is a good beer for people who want to make the jump from macro to micro but nothing to get me excited.

probstblueribbon (1969) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 19, 2009
341 ml bottle from LCBO, served cold in a tulip glass. JN11/09.

App.: Deep golden, clear, remnants of a white head. Aroma: Heavily vegetal – corn and canned peas, wet grain, yuck. Palate: Medium-ish body and medium carbonation. Flav.: More canned veg. and wet grain; watery finish with some bitterness.

Is this river water??? Horrible.
