Bottle from Dranken Verheyen in Poppel. The beer is deep golden colored and has a large and stable white head, with nice carbonation. The aroma is malty and fruity, with notes of yeast, citrus, grass and some spices. Standard aroma for a tripel beer. The taste is light sweet and malty, with some notes of yeast and herbs. The finish is light dry and light bitter and a little watery. Oke tripel, nothing special. One to forget soon.

Triple d’abbaye reconnue …

Bobson (82) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - FEB 6, 2016
Bottle @ Juventa beer tasting with Thompson. Smell is quite subtle with some malts and yeasts. Looks quite bright even. Taste is stronger than I anticipated with some yeast again followed by herbs. Overall, just a solid beer but nothing to write home about.

Bottle 330ml (from BBF, BB 06/2016)
Clear golden color, medium-sized white head. Sweetish fruity aroma, hints of pineapple and Belgian yeast. Some metallic notes too. Medium-bodied. Fruity with riped pineapple, metal and apple. Alcoholic finish with some lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Typical middle-of-the-road triple from Belgium.
