kmweaver (2125), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Sep 21, 2008 Draft @ Herkimer. Pours a cloudy straw color with whitish edges; fluffy white head with good retention and fine-bubbled lacing. Solid amounts of citrus, coriander, and soft wheat in the aroma; light huskiness; nicely dry, crisp, and salty. Medium mouthfeel: relaxed carbonation; salt, chewy wheat and crisp citrus; very solid presence in the mouth; nicely drinkable; interesting, mildly salted, mouthwatering; developed and tasty gose. Medium finish: juicy citrus and lemon, light wheat, and very soft spicing; balanced end. heemer77 (3782), Savannah, Missouri, USA Sep 2, 2008 Growler, thanks for sharing, beastiefan2k. The body was a very hazy light yellow with a thin white head. The aroma was leathery and earthy with some peaches and funk. The taste was also leathery with some peaches and sweetened lime juice. There was also a little bit of black pepper hint in this one. A light mouthfeel made this refreshing for warm weather. Interesting and well done. Pours a cloudy pale yellow transitioning to a whitish tint at the edges; it looks much like fresh squeezed lemon juice. On the nose are citrus, light sulfur, coriander and a note that I can only describe as the sole of a new gym shoe; definitely unlike any other beer I’ve sampled. On the light side of medium-bodied, the mouthfeel is slick with a quick, lightly dry finish. Citric, with a lightly spicy, mineral blend that rounds out to a crisp and moderately dry finish. An interesting and very sessionable brew. Thanks for bringing this back for us, Eugene! theisti (1086), Leawood, Kansas, USA Aug 25, 2008 Growler brought back from the brewpub by beastiefan2k. Pour is a cloudy, dirty yellow-white with a very small white head. Aroma of strong orange lemon citrus mixed in with some breadiness. There is also a grassy coriander spiciness present. Interesting and "bright" nose. Taste is lemon, pineapple and orange juice with a thick breadiness. There is some citrus peel bitterness to the finish. The palate is medium without being heavy, and the sour tarness clears the palate excellently. Really nice, refreshing beer. Thanks for bringing this one back, Eugene. csbosox (977), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA Aug 23, 2008 From a growler. Sharp wheat, citrus, herbal, and saltiness in both the aroma and flavor. The salt highlights the flavors and is nicely integrated. The lacto is appreciated. Very refreshing
