Hoppy aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and smooth on the palate with a crisp and slightly bitter malt finish.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at the brewpub, June 2007. Because this place didn’t (or wouldn’t?) do a sampler tray, I was forced to scrounge a taste of someone else’s beer (can’t remember who but thanks anyway). Pale gold colour. Just a smidgen of bready malt. Seemed very light and thin. So much so that I wasn’t sure whether they had served the right beer. In view of the high marks given by most of the other raters, I’m still not sure. Inoffensive anyway.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draft @ Brewpub: Gold, light white head, nose of musky ash and sawdust. Plenty of odd lager malt note. Hmm, didn’t get much out of this one.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at ABR 07 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pours a clear golden pale brew with a decent white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring. Aroma of light bready malt, some flowery and citrus zest, with a touch of corn malt. Taste is light to medium bodied, some multi-grain breakfast cereal malt and citrus hop flavor with a touch of yeast. Finish is slightly gritty, light dry and a multi-grain aftertaste.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a lightly hazy gold but more clear than most kellers or zwickels. Aroma is fresh pils malt, bready and doughy with hints of yeast and light herbal noble hops. Awesome full bready malt flavor with a clean crisp fresh hop bitterness to it. Nice finish- refreshing- the best beer by far of this brewpub.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught pint at the brewpub, RBSG weekend, June 22 2007. Burnished gold, lightly oily-looking body, small-to-moderate white head, thick lacing....delecate, lightly pungent grassy-hoppy nose, bready malts underlying....earthy, slightly slick, faintly hoppy body, lots of malt body, full and sweet but nicely drying out at the finish....low natural-feeling carbonation....excellent, the best beer I’ve had here yet.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Autumn Brew Review 2008. First of TWO Kellerbiers at the fest. I love this place. Gold color with a large head. The aroma is like a hop vine of the Noble variety. Very dusty grain taste, finished off with ample Noble hop floralness. Lightly bitter finish. I can see why this has won medals in its category. Top notch!

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
Just a hair more flavor and aroma than the kolsch. Very light hops in the flavor and aroma. For the style, there should be more yeast I think, but there is very little. Good palate, which is probably this beer’s best quality, which makes it very drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub. Golden in color. Nearly clear. Head was thin and white. The aroma was of light yeasty bread dough and noble hops. Dry with moderate hop bitterness that peaked toward the end at about 4-5 out of 10. The flavor was dominated by green, leafy noble hops, but there was also some delicate bready malt. Pretty tasty.
