Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear light orange-golden color. The head was thin and white with decent retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of caramel and subdued vanilla cake batter. Dry on the tongue with fresh cereal grain, noble hop, caramel, and light toffee flavors. Pretty tasty.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On draught during the ABR ’08 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear golden pale orange brew with an average off-white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of vanilla and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, malty character of caramel, toffee, some roasted nuts and grassy hops. Finish is semi-dry, crisp, with a light caramel and toffee aftertaste that quickly disappears.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark gold color with a thin head. Slight wheat aroma. A little hoppy with some barley. Not what I’d call a shining example, but inoffensive.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours amber/red with minimal head. Not a lot of aroma: a bit of malt, just a touch of roasted nuts. Lightly roasted malt and just a hint of hops on the palate. Refreshing and not wholly undrinkable.
