2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottled 330ml PBFVIII
Clear yellow color, small white head. Grainy, a bit citrusy aroma. Light-bodied. Flavor is too grainy with citrus hoppyness. German kellerbier-like.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at Olympen in Oslo. First whiff is strangely metallic and dirty with notes of fish scales and dish rag. Thankfully it blows off after a few minutes and the juicy and lemony German hops become much more expressive. Juicy and succulent malt, mostly clean fermentation (a little concrete / metal, but nothing as strong as the first whiff). Medium body, quenching and smacking acidity, medium bitterness and balanced sweetness. After it warms to near-room temperature the grain huskiness grows but there’s also a rather pleasant baked sourdough bread note as well. All around solid lager that I thought at first might be a dumper. I’ve had experiences before where the inside neck and cap of the bottle leave off-notes that blow off (oxidize) with some time, that would be my guess here.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Very common canned beer on aspect, aroma and nose. But you get a small additional flavor compared to the other available canned beers at Stavanger airport. A good complement to Picon otherwise.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2013 Clear golden coloured beer with a nice permanent head. Aroma is grainy and the taste malty. The mouthfeel is thin to medium. There’s a fairly slight amount of hops. Has a little harsh maltiness like macro lagers. It’s actually more like a pale lager than a pils.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
UPDATED: AUG 25, 2013 330 ml bottle @ PBF 2013.
Pours a clear golden colour with a minimal white head. Weak aroma of sweet grainy malts, mild honey and some citrus. Mild flavour of sweet malts, some grains, cardboard, grass, honey and weak citrus. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel and high carbonation. Finishes very mild, like no flavour at all. Pretty much a useless pilsener, no matter how "craft beer" it is.
