A - Pours a clear copper-orange color with a thin finger of frothy white head. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some lace. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet dark fruits with some caramel malts, some Belgian yeast smells with some banana and spice, some light fruit, and a bit of booze. T - Starts off with some sweet rich cherry and other dark fruits with some candi sugar. Through the middle some Belgian yeast flavors come through with some spice and a bit of booze. The finish is a mix of dark cherry (almost cough syrupy), Belgian yeast, spices, candi sugar, and booze. M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a warming and sweet finish. D - Pretty drinkable. The beer is just the slightest bit cough syrupy, but otherwise the flavors are solid and the 11% ABV is not overly strong.

Bottle: The aroma consists of big alcohol, grapes, and dark fruits. It pours a transparent amber with a small white head outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with grapes, dark fruits, and some candi sugar. The finish has some alcohol (with some heat) and some faint spice. It’s medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Bomber from Bevmo Salinas. Nose is light candisugar with a little cloves and bubblegum. Clear orange copper with a small beige head. Flavor is lightly sweet and peppery with a tiny bit of bitter.

Shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat and we both opened our bottles 1,500 miles apart. I was wondering what the 11% ABV was going to bring, but to my surprise the alcohol was well hidden. It poured a bright and clear rich amber color with a nice light tan head and rich lacing rings. The nose shows roasted sweet malts and ripe fruit. The body is rich and bold, and the mouthfeel very slick. The flavor is rich roasted malts and sugar, and the finish was sweet and rich. Very much a quad. Good.

bomber from Hayduke. We enjoyed a bottle together via facebook chat. At 11% ABV we both knew we were in for trouble. This beer is crystal clear and has a nce off white head. A nose of fruit and Belgian yeast was nice. The flavor featured those as well. Malts came a bit later. Alcohol was never tasted but was felt. Candi sugar was a delight and appealed to my sweet tooth. I wish this were not filtered and allowed the yeast to go a bit crazier but this is a tasty quad. Two beers tonight from Hermitage and both have been better than hoped. My liver disagrees.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, copper-orange hued body with a fading white head. Aromas are sweet, cherry, cough syrup, mild esters, alcohol, prunes, caramel, pears and very mild DMS. Flavors are alcoholic and very sweet (bordering on cloying), raisins, pears, prunes, plums and other esters. Some candy sweetness. Bitterness is high for the style and more than balances. Syrupy with medium carbonation. The best of the 1 door series.

Sampled in a big bottle. Pours with no head and a light brown color to the beer. Absolutely flat. Malts are decent in flavor and hops are mild and really recessed. Nice brew overall.

Bottle. Amber beer with a dark cream colored head. caramel and yeast aroma. Caramel and grapefruit flavor with yeast and alcohol. Medium bodied. Caramel and grapefruit lingers with yeast and spice. Quad meets an IPA?

ummmmm...... did i miss something here??? this doesnt really look, smell, taste or drink like a quad. a tripel at best maybe. very light colored amber orange pour. looks like an ipa. some spicyness and phneols there, not a terrible beer overall but really in no way is this a quad.

Let’s see if they did any better this time around. Aromas are more reminiscent of a belgian strong golden ale or triple than a quad. Some spice and maltiness. Pours a light amber/orange. Some short lasting soda like foam. Flavor is fairly malt heavy, but not the super sweet bomb I was expecting. There is some pleasant spice on this one. Fairly low carbonated and somewhat syrupy. Finish has some definite booze to it. Overall not a terrible beer. For the price($3.50) it exceeded my expectations, and is definitely one of the better offerings from Hermitage/Tied House.
